Seeming opened intentionally on the back of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief, come a retelling of an old and very well liked classic about the wars between the greek gods, the titans before them and humans. I went to the movie with great anticipation and I have to say that I was not completely disappointed. First things first, do NOT spend the money to see it in 3D or IMAX! Its not bad but the movie will be great in regular old 2D and you save a few bucks in the process. I will not tell you anything about the story except to say that it goes very quickly and the pace does not slow down throughout. All of your old favorites are in the movie with a few twist and added parts to the story. The fight seens are great, they really drive the movie much more than the story. Hades is a punk as always but pretty cool. Percus is a beast, no doubt, but you don't really have enough time to get to know him (or anyone else for that matter)because of the pace of the movie. Overall, I think they did a good job. It was great timing given the recent succes of the Percy Jackson books (and they are really good)and movie. Go ready for a wild romp with really no emotion at all. Its kind of like LOTR beefed up or 300 toned down. Have fun and let me know what you think.
