I have sung onstage many times. I have played in bands for many years. I have recently created a website to host all my musical endeavors. There are some live recordings up there and even some available for free download. The link is on my mylot page. Feel free to check it out. I remember being very afraid while going to sing onstage at first. But, I got used to it after a few times. Once, I was so nervous and shaking so bad that I couldn't even play my guitar.

Confidence is key to gettting on stage and playing or singing. You might get on stage one day, and not be that good, but as your confidence builds up, and you are more confident in the way you sing, you are more liely to become a better singer, in a sense, as your confidence builds the more likely you are infinding out how good a singer you are.

Thanks. I agree 100%. Also, your confidence will show while you are onstage. People will know that you are about to kill it! On the other hand, people can sense your fear if you are apprehensive and it really can ruin a performance.

Many people have the same issues with speech giving. Some never get over it. I like giving speeches, personally, but I cannot sing worth a darn. Just never learned.

It's funny because it didn't happen for a while. Then, I took a break from the stage. When I returned, it was like I had never played out before. Knots in my stomache. haha.
