so many teenage pregnancies are happening in our place. some can't even finish their studies because of a new responsibility. what is really the right age to have kids? does age matter when you take the responsibility of being a parent?

Hi pwang41! =)
For me, i dont think there is a right age to have a kids. But obvuiosly not during teenage years. Im now 28yrs old and is 15weeks pregnant (no husband) i plan this pregnancy cause i think im emotionally and financially ready to have a child even without a man on my side and im not getting any younger.
A lot of factor is also consider if both couple are prepared to have a child. And morally speaking, only married people are suppose to have a child..but its a case to case basis.
Bottomline, be a responsible parents, be a good provider to your kids needs, give her/him a quality education and be sure your emotionally, physically, spritually and financially ready.

Yes I feel that age does matter as you not only need to be prepared biologically but also mentally. There are so many things which takes place after pregnancy and I feel teenage is the time when you need to decide on your career. There are people who first start a family and then start their career. I still feel starting a family is not as easy as we think it has a lot of complexities than what we see.

There are considerations about the physical condition of the lady and her mental ability to care for a child. Some sixteen year olds are very irresponsible and others are sensible so therefore make a superb baby sitter for someone else's child. No form of birth control is 100% effective and some teens do get an unplanned pregnancy. When that happens if she keeps the baby and becomes a loving parent that is wonderful. If she adopts her baby to a caring family that is superb. I don't think that abortion is the right choice. The teenager might make the biggest mistake of her life doing that. Some teens have supportive parents to help them adjust to being a teenage mother or father. It is possible with parental help for a pregnant teen to continue her education. If not then when the lady's child reaches school age she could do evening classes at a further education college.
I think that the best age to have a baby is 24 to 29 years old. Other great times are from age 20 to 23 years old or from age 30 to 34 years old. If a lady has a baby after age 35 it is a little late. If she has a baby in her teenage years that is rather early. A lady is fertile in her younger days, like in her twenties. In her late thirties to early forties her fertility might not be as good. There are books that a pregnant lady can read to be a great parent. Rather than moan at pregnant teens I say encouraging words to make them into a lovely parent.
