Trying to improve your search engine rankings is a difficult task to say the least but there are a few things you can do. First, decide which search terms you would like to have your site rank well for. Then try to include these and related terms in the text of your pages and then put the search terms in your keyword meta tags in the head section of your website. This is called having a "keyword rich" site and it shows the crawlers that the content of your site is related to your keywords. This is only a small part of it though. One of the best ways to get better rankings is to have a lot of back-links to your site. That is, sites on the internet that link to your site. You can do this by finding sites that are complimentary to yours (but not a direct competitor)and then contacting the webmasters and asking for a reciprocal link, a link from their site to yours in exchange for you putting a link on your site to theirs. You can also write short, informative articles on the subject of your website and submit them to article sights that allow you to include a link in the article or credit to your site. This puts links to your site out there on the internet. Also, do a site submission to all the major search engines and directories and submit it to sites like digg, del.icio.us, twitter, reddit, stumbleupon, etc. and put a link on any social websites you might belong to like MySpace and Facebook. The more links to your site that you can get out there, the better. There are companies on the internet that will optimize your sight for you but I don't know how much they charge. It might be worth it to get really good rankings though. I have even thought about trying this myself to get more traffic to my site. I'd try the free methods first though. Depending on what your site is about and how much competition you have on the net, you might be able to achieve some good results.

If your website includes articles, write articles with lots of top searched words in the internet. Search the web for words that are searched by surfers and use them in your articles. Hi tsurjan, I am a similar position as you, may even be worse. My site is not even in engine search. I even typed the full url (which is http://principlesofaccounts.weebly.com ), still I do not find my site. All visits to my site are direct. Please can anyone help.
