I had been doodling for a very long time in my life. Then one day, one of my daughters asked me to draw something for them. I did. Since then I have been drawing different scenes of nature. I was told that my drawings were good. Then someone asked me if I could do people. Well, I tried before and it never truly turned out, well I can't say that anymore either. The mediums I use, is Pen or charcoal. I love doing either. Pen drawings are a bit more difficult, if you make a mistake you either put it in the drawing or you start over. Done that a few times too.
If you look in my profile in photo's you can see a few I have done over the years.
Yes, the Heart is a painting I have done, worked with Acrylics too.
I do have more posted in myspace, thing is changing computers I have to get them on this one. Since the laptop I have them on the Screen went out. So yes, I have a project...lol

I am an artist! I've been doing art all my life, but it wasn't until just before college that I decided to go into it as a profession (long story). I became a graphic designer, so much of it was computer aided. But at heart, I like to think I'm a well rounded artist and can still draw and paint (although these days I suspect I'm pretty rusty as I'm a full time mom now). I'm more of a realist . . . I like drawing and painting things realistically no matter what the subject is. But I also like silly cartooning. Mainly I like doing any kind of art that cheers a person up (something in the lines of what greeting card illustrators and writers do). I haven't ventured into sculpting much . . . maybe someday when I have time!

Yes, well, I was . . . I'm a full time mom now and when I go back into the working force (maybe 5 years from now), I'll hopefully have my own biz instead of working for another company. Maybe not exactly graphic design entirely, but in the creative field anyway. Once an artist, always an artist! :)
Thanks ___SKY___ !

yeah i'd like to say i can draw pretty good - mostly pencil sketching. i'm not good at painting or using colors for drawing, but i do pretty good with pencil sketching. how good - well that is not mine to judge. but as far as my friends and those who have seen my work are concerned, they appreciate me and admire my works. i used to sketch mostly during my schooldays. my sketching were mostly real life portraits. i got my initial status after drawing kate winslet from from the titanic movie when i was in the seventh standard. my friends and other students from our school admired it so much that many others followed suit and started pencil sketching. after that i did many other sketching, mostly sportspersons because i am a crazy soccer fan and played quite well too. then i did many other sketching for board magazines which were displayed regularly in our school. i'm not exaggerating, but i had quite a reputation in this regard.
but after school, i haven't made any such sketches. in fact, it's been years since i last drew. i had much interest then, but it has diminished now. don't know how well i'd be able to draw now. maybe if i regain that much enthusiasm then i'll still be pretty good at it!

i've never even thought about earning by drawing. i did it just for the passion and because i liked it. and sadly, all my works are either lost or are not with me anymore. i really would love to show them but i didn't care to preserve them as i was too young to even think about preserving them. my number one passion was playing soccer so that was what i cared about most. i just did the drawing part time or when the need arose.
anyway, thanks for the comment and i'm sure you can draw too! all you have to do is believe in yourself that you can do.

its good to know you can draw that well, not too many person is good in arts this is called a skilled, this is awesome, when it comes to arts a dedication of your mind and your hands are involved, well hopefully you can upload one of your sketch and we'll be able to see the portrait of your hands, I really wish I could draw or sketch like you. But unfortunately I was not blessed with that kind of skill. Congratulations with those success you have attained in your drawing and sketch ability that it spread out over your school magazines..I suggest to keep going with your drawing don't stuck in the corner and you can make use of it..and you can even use them to earn ? have you ever tried to earn with your skill?

Hi sky,,
I'm so much fascinated with arts and images with good interpretations especially those canvass of ancient years, but unfortunately I can't do that with pride my skill doesn't acquire to that, I can simply draw, I can make a good sketch for something like how it works before it makes live and colours.
I can simply use ARTRAGE to draw and I can manage well, blending much for all colours from ARTRAGE.But of course the real meaning of arts it from a canvass an artist whose devoted feelings from the works of his hands, A Masterpiece from blessed hands.Being an artist requires devotion and feelings to make the best meaning of ARTS!
Have a good time!

Count me out on this type of skills. I have long realized that I am never good at drawings or anything that is related to such activity. I really do not know why, but I am never good at it. That is why, when I decided for my college course, architecture, engineering was never in my mind considering that it involves drawing. I really admired people who are good at drawing. They are magnificent.

Hi Sky,
I also hope and wish I have this kind of skill. However, I don't. I can say though that my skill is more of in writing. My brother is the one who's good in drawing and painting. However, instead of being an Architecture he became a Civil Engineer. He loves to paint people with different expressions, houses and buildings.
I am just not sure if he still finds time nowadays to paint or draw. He used to join competitions when he was still a student. We even have some of his paintings displayed by my Mom at home.

I also do not have the gift for drawing. Let's not talk about professional drawings and paintings like what Leonardo da Vinci is well-known for. I can't even draw stick figures well. I have friends who seem to be able to draw stick figures or comic characters in any kind of posture imaginable. They don't even need to use the eraser! That is really a gift of some kind.

I don't know if you have ever heard of or saw the Chinese ink and wash painting which is also the traditional Chinese painting . I'm Chinese and I really like those works. With only a few lines and seemingly casual drawings the painting is so vivid and impressive ! No matter to present the magnificence of landscapes or to show the peace of outland villages, Chinese ink and wash paiting is a good choice.
