The New York Knicks have been in the doldrums in recent years but one player who has shown his talent is David Lee. He is having an outstanding season despite his teams struggles. The 26 year old Lee is putting up averages of PPG20.3 RPG11.90 APG3.6.
He had his first triple double last night with an incredible performance of 37 points, 20 Rebounds and 10 Assists, That hasn't been done since the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in March 1976. That is some company he's in. I would do everything to try and resign him if I was the Knicks. That will be almost impossible if they do get a top free agent in next season but Lee should be there with whoever comes in as that would be some team.

Well, I should say I don't know him so well. But today when I browsing the sports news of NBA,I was told he got a incredible performance in the game Golden State Warriors VS New York Knicks.I think he is one of the best white basketball players in NBA.He will surely be remembered in NBA history as his unbelieveable performance in today's game.

I don't think he gets the credit he deserves because he is on an average team and not one of the Championship contenders. If you put him on a decent team he would take them to be one of the contenders.

I think so ,he didn't get what he deserved in Knicks.I do think he should get a big contract.

He would make a huge difference on a decent team. Someone like Houston maybe.

Lee is not a franchise guy, but he is a solid player and an able contributor on both ends of the floor. He can be a very big factor on a good team. Financially, resigning Lee is not a problem since New York has room for 2 maximum contracts and a lot of loose change. Even if they aim for Lebron and another superstar, they will have enough to resign Lee. The only problem I see is the demand of the superstar they get (the deal would likely be Lebron and anyone he would like to play with that is free). If Lee gets left out, or if the team decides that he is not a fit to the new system they aim to build, I hope he gets signed to another contender.
He should have been a sure lock All-Star, not just a replacement on Iverson. Good for him to be selected though, he earned it.

All the top NBA Pundits are talking about The Knicks not being able to resign David Lee if they brought in two top Free agents. As it looks like LeBron is staying in Cleveland it will be interesting to see who the Knicks go for and what they do concerning David Lee.

It would be interesting to see who he would go to if he doesn't re-sign with the Knicks. I believe they should look to re-sign him as he is a very fine player and would be a great partner to a big free agent.

Wow, this amazes me.. i really didn't expect him to be averaging a double double.
He is deffinately a player who gets in done with great efficiency/without teams noticing, which can lead to him having an even bigger impact in games.
In my opinion, I really don't think he will stay at the Knicks for next season.

Well they can't resign him and get the free agent signings they want so something has to give. If they got Bosh he would be a great one two punch.

Lee is an excellent player, but not a top one.Statistics sometimes may cheat people.Though he plays perfect statistics, few teams want to give him big contract. Why?That' the difference between a good player and a top player.top players can decide the teams' win or loss. It's a pity that Lee doesn't belong to this kind.

I don't believe the statistics are lying in this case. He finished last season with the most double doubles, even more than Dwight Howard. He is improving every year and is clearly one of the best big men in the NBA.
