Im a type of girl who love to go shopping especially when im stressed out. Im just wondering if i can be considered as a shopaholic if i go shopping every week. I buy anything like shoes, shirt, pants and etc. I wont go home unless i havent bought anything new. I actually spend lots of money when i shop. I almost spend 5000 in just one day thats in peso anyway. How about you? Do you consider yourself a shopaholic? How many times do you shop in one month? How much do you usually spend?

I presume you are not counting grocery shopping. I dont spend a lot because i dont have a lot. I sometimes just have a browse round the shops but only buy if I see something I REALLY like or something I REALLY need. I wouldn't usually spend more than about £15. Last time I went, I bought 2 pairs of legging, 5 pairs of socks and a couple of crop tops and I think that came to just over £15.

I love shopping too..=) And yes like you when I'm stressed out I tend to buy things that would make me happy something that I really really like. But I'm not that too much spender though I just bought basic girls' stuffs..If I want something expensive I just save money to buy it..but I also give allowance for my other expenses as well before spending..=)

I can say shopping is really a good therapy to take away stress. Its a great treat we can give to ourselves after the long day and hours of working. I agree that we should still have allowance for our expenses. I may spend much but still theres something left for my daily allowances.

No, I buy what I want or rather what I need because it is a different economy. I spend enough to get by, I am not a big spender. I need to pay off a few bills before ZI decide to spend money on me, lol. Our economy has done that to me. It has curtailed my spending habits, lol.

Well I wouldn't say you're shopaholic considering that every week is not that much . Every day would be concerning . But it seems to me you spend a lot on everything you buy and I have a question for you ...Do you use all that stuff ? Because it seems to me that if buying stuff every week you should have lots of clothes and so on and I don't think they are all used . If you have many things that you don't use then you should try doing something else instead of shopping to use your energy .About your questions I don't consider myself shopaholic , even though if I had more money I could be in that category . I shop like twice a month and in dollars i don't spend more than $100 . But anyway I live in Romania and the conditions are other plus prices are very high .

I love shopping for souvenirs when I am traveling to difficult countries. I buy costume dolls from the places that I go to and when I get home I add them to my collection. I buy postcards for my display books. I am so happy when I manage to purchase some very special looking things from overseas. For example in Kenya I bought a wooden giraffe.
In my home country IO go shopping for food almost every day of the week. Three times a week I go to Wait Rose. Onc a week I go to two other supermarkets in town. On a Monday I go shopping in town to buy some items. I shop for new clothing quite often. Like last week I bought new clothing in a larger size for my toddler son. I would say that am a close to being a shopaholic.

AS far as I am concerned, I think I am not a shopaholic, who will choose to buy a lot of things when they are just go out for shopping. For me, I will usually buy the thing I have planned ,then after I bought them, just go back home.

hi,
I like to shop often whenever have some cool cash $$$.Normally i buy all sorts of music cds or merchandise or anything related to it.Seldom buy clothes or shoeware unless theres a big sale or something.
Buying are easy but controlling on spending are quite difficult so sometimes feel regret after buying stuff that i dont like after that.I do shop around on every weekend or if its my off day.

I'm a guy and I don't like mindless shopping just to release me from my stress...If I were to buy something for fun I guess I would buy a new book or some CDs...Or better yet, some new gym equipments

I understand how its like, I got hooked on shopping again and this time its online shopping! You know how it is when everything is just at the tip of your fingers. Its easy to just buy and buy because its just there and the next thing you notice is an insufficient fund note from your bank! arrghhh if only money grows on trees!

yes, you will be considered shopaholic.
one who byes things without their necessity is considered to be shopohlic.
try to keep yourself busy with going to parks for a walk when you feel buying things without requirement.

actually, iam the same type as you.i am fond of shopping. when i was depressed,i go shopping; when i was given a sum of money,i went to buy myself something; when i have partners ,we go shopping together. by the way ,we can have a chat. we all enjoy that activity. we can see various of new merchandise. i often shop about 10 times a month. every time i spend 100-400 RMB yuan at least. i feel regret deeply after i have boght something i would not need at all.

I don´t have enough money to be a shopaholic.I don´t even have money to shop. Period
I live frugally because I save my money so I can travel. The most I spend (as shopaholism goes) is at the supermarket. I love to have guests for diner, I love to cook and some ingredients for a nice meal just "call" me.
As for clothes, I buy very little.
Happy posting!

I love shopping! I'm proud to say though that I'm not a compulsive buyer, I can look away and go home without having spent anything. It takes a lot of willpower though. If I had unlimited income, I'd probably be out shopping every week. My dad says I'm a shopaholic because there was a time when I would come home with shopping bags every weekend. I take after him I guess, he buys a lot of things too! :)
I'm trying to control my spending now. So eventhough I like to shop, I pause and consider if I really needed those items now or if it can wait. If it can wait, I won't buy it yet. I go back a week later and consider again, sometimes I end up buying, at other times I end up deciding I don't need at all. :)

I don't really like to shop very much. But I do like to hang out with my friends sometimes at the local mall. I don't really have much money to spend since I live on a fixed income. But I still like to window shop and hang out with my friends at the food court there and chat about stuff.

Well, you sound like a shopaholic to me, but I admit that I'm jealous of you I love to go shopping but I have no money to spend on anything that is not necessary, so if I go to see shops I can only look but not buy anything, and I go back home depressed .
I don't see anything wrong in shopping, as I consider it a good hobby, but you should have care of how much you spend, as you never know when you will need to learn how to save
