Best Content sites

United States

As an active writer online, I was wondering what you all feel are the best sites to have accounts with for writing online articles. This means all aspects, ease of use, income per traffic. Actual traffic for the site. Their methods for tracking traffic and showing their users how much traffic articles are getting, forums they have in place, friendliness of the community and so on....

Associated Content and Helium are the two best sites for pay and income. Associated Content has the easiest to use forum and website. The forums are really helpful there as well. Since Helium redesigned their site the ease of use has definitely improved, but I am the biggest fan of AC. Examiner is pretty good, they have started paying a dollar upfront and are giving shopping discounts. Their pay doesn't compare to AC and Helium though. AC has a great little graph for page views but I haven't seen any writing site that actually tracks where the traffic comes from that will let you know. AC also seems to be the friendliest although a lot of the same people write for Helium. I think it is an issue of ease of use. Daily Content is good. You can set your own price with them. Text broker is okay, but the pay isn't the greatest. You get a flat fee for what you are writing. I don't use that one anymore. Part time (five days a week for four hours) I have made over $300 a month on AC. There are people who make more than that. Good luck in your search. You can find a lot of the sites listed in MyLot and also on ACs forum.

Helium is good. However Associated Content is only good income wise for people from the USA. I am from the UK and they dont give you all the bonuses so you lose out on a lot of income.

Thank you MommaJ, I am a member of Helium and do enjoy it. It is a solid site. I have yet to join Associated Content. It was my plan to though. But I had been hearing about sites like Info Barrel and Triond and was wondering if they are anything to consider. I have found that Helium and Ehow have been really solid earners for me. Helium more so when I started really building some backlinks, but Ehow has been great, right out of the gate. If you can get past the horrible webmasters of that site. It is tough.

I believe Ehow only pays page views so I didn't do too much with that. I also got confused on the formatting. LOL You would think it would be easy 1. 2. 3. LOL As for triond it is only page views as well. Some people do good with it, I needed a little more money, thus my love of AC. Hi Arioch, even though you can only get page views from ac I have found that it pays better than Helium. It really depends on the type of content you write. I am mostly parenting, and Lifestyle articles. My page views on AC are better than Helium's.

Hello, and welcome to MyLot. I write for Helium, and I earn well on there. The site is well structured, and because there are so many titles to write to, I never lak inspiration. The community is active and supportive, and there are the competitions and market place oppoertunities as well. I've put stuff on Associated Content, but as I am not a US resident, I can only earn from page views. Still, as I've posted stuff from Helium, it's earning twice over, although it's taking a while to build up.
