I just do not understand people who are very rude. I mean what is the point of responding to a discussion and saying something to the person who posted the discussion that is not nice. We do post discussions here right and we do sometimes open a bit of our problems or doubts right? I just do not know how to deal a person who do not have anything nice to say and could not even be more considerate to others... Are they insecure or have they lost half of their brain?? How do you deal with a certain person who has an attitude? I wanted to respond back to the person for being such a hypocrite but then it would only make a big issue..

They might be ignorant of what they said and how hurtful it was. It's easy to be mean to people on the internet, sometimes without realizing it. It's also easy to be mean to people on the internet on purpose, so yeah they could be just as hypocritical and heartless as you're thinking they are. Just don't jump to conclusions yet. If you're hurt enough or moved enough to reply, go ahead and do so. But they'll probably continue their bad habits even if you do.

No doubt about that, some really likes to be rude on the internet.. Depends on a person's mood or I guess it is really their habit.

It's a habit people get into. It's so easy to mouth off to people you never have to see, but of course that doesn't make it right. Just keep being happy and spreading the sunshine! :D

Hi Mz Ira, I don't know people have to be so rude either. I used to react to these people but now for the most part, I just ignore them. If they are being rude to someone else, I'm more apt to jump in on it in defense of that person. I guess it depends on my mood. Reacting to them usually doesn't do a lot of good and often time gives them fuel to keep going.

I guess they are really bored and if ever there is a discussion they do not really fancy then they take the mickey out of the person who posted the discussion. Actually i just left a comment after the man's response telling the person who posted the discussion to ignore the person and listen to others instead who would respond.

My lot is a very large community and we have to understand that every individual has a different temperament. Yes - what ever that person has done is not acceptable - I suggest you one thing that just go to his profile and see weather he a newbie on this site and may not be aware of how to deal with discussions and also see his age - all these count for your pain. Hence after this you may decide the best. And advice him too as to how to attend a discussion.........

Mylot indeed is a big community and yes every individual has different opinions and temper. But that person should at least left the discussion and never responded.

How can we stop that - it is open to respond and may be at the time he was on my lot how his mood was we cannot assume. That is right - he would have stopped this is from our side, but cannot assume from his side. Any how........it is really bad on his part .

There are a lot of people on Mylot, thus there are lot different opinions and views which you can interpret as offensive, but if that person posted something that wasn't all that relevant to your discussion, just ignore them. I would normally ignore comments that aren't worthwhile.

I experienced the same thing yesterday i commented on his/her work then he replied saying something like your not answering the topic at all, just because i didnt hit his expectations .I mean if you dont agree with what the users of mylot think then just ignore and just comment on those you feel. Its rude to say something towards the person who commented. Its as if your the moderator herself. In mylot we always have different views and ideas that each user should respect. If you dont agree then just move on and keep your piece instead. ;) Hope these people will realize what their doing is unethical ;) Thanks for the time reading ;)

Hello setsuna26 and jiraiyasanin!!! @setsuna26, I am sorry to hear that. You are right that person is indeed rude. If I were in that person's shoes I would still at least appreciate and thank you for taking time in participating but then what can we do we all have different opinions. Just let it go and never answer his discussions I guess ...Jiraiyasanin is right just do not mind them, whether they believe in you or not you still responded and said your opinion

Well, every individual are just different.. I'm just being honest to whatever i'm responding.. As such, no matter how rude or bad i might sound on some posts, that's just me.. I'm just voicing out my own opinion.. Wont it be good to have some negative comments rather than having all those nice ones?? WIll it seem that everybody is hypociate when they are standing on our side?? hehe

People like that are only encouraged when you respond, no matter how nice you are. Some people think they have the only legitimate opinion and refuse to consider those of others so they are rude. They have lost the ability to think and live in a closed little world. Pity them.

Hi, mz_Ira. I would simply tell them to don't bother responding to anymore of my discussions. I will tell them this and I don't care what they say. I think that this person is just silly and needs to be taught some mature manners. I will also report them to myLot too. They are not going to be bothering me and thinking that they are going to get away with doing so. They better think again. If they bother me every blue moon then that is a different thing. But if they are always being rude, I will tell them a little about themselves. I will not be subjected to the whim of their bitter insecure insults. In fact, I had an member that was like this recently. I have noticed that they no longer respond to any of my discussions either. And do I care? Nope! Not one bit!

I have observed some also.Sometime I had responded in a something sensitive topic and one respondent said that maybe the topic owner has just run out of good discussion to post and said she will delete the topic owner from her friend list.Wow!Nobody is forcing anyone here in Mylot to post or reply on topics that we are not comfortable to discuss. That is why we have here different categories to choose from.So I think instead of behaving like a childlike innocence we better brace ourselves so not to offend anyone.Actually I really wanted to answer her back but I realized the topic owner just ignored her so I said to myself why should I put myself in trouble where Im not really the one that should be involved.lol

Yeah i have that same kind of experience before. You know what, i dont try to read all the reactions to all my responses to discussions. With regards to discussions i have started, so far i dont have much bad experience. I think i have one some few months back. And i have posted a discussion with regards to that. There are sick people here too you know. But we shouldnt let them affect our interest to be at our best here. (^_^)

Ha,ha,ha...maybe, as you said, half of their brain is no longer functioning. Kidding aside, yes, what's with them? If they have nothing good to say, then they better skip the discussion and go somewhere else. I understand how you feel because it happened to me once. A little mole was turned into a volcano, hahahaha.

I had the problem of writing something and having the person who sort of forget their English grammar lessons and she went on a rant called me stupid , etc. because of her assumption. When someone else explained it to her, she said thank you, but when I tried to explain why she made the mistake, she went off on a tangent. I am not saying who it is, but she could have asked "do you mean?" I did learn she had the same sort of attitude when I read some of her discussions. There are people who take what one says the wrong way.

I think after 552 posts you should understand that this is an open site for interactions, so if you post something or discuss something personal there will be people who would find it ridiculous and won't keep quiet about it. Similarly, there will be people who would not agree and would even be insulted by the topic - not that they don't want to wage wars but perhaps something in the post just ticks their bad side and their hands would itch if they could not post what's on their minds. So, I therefore suggest that you just brush off these comments and when the first line offends you, skip it, carry on to the other responders and don't ruin your day by a single rude comment.

Hi mz_Ira! Unfortunately, that is the way it is sometimes here on the Lot! There are some people who just like to be miserable and try to make others feel the same way! What you do is try to just ignore them and not respond! That is the best way to deal with them! If you ignore them, then maybe they will just go away! This is a very big site and we are bound to have some people that are always looking for a fight and we have to be the ones that don't bother with them so the go elsewhere! Try to do your best to ignore them and if that doesn't work and they are abusive then report them to mylot admin!

Hi, This sounds a bit opinionated. I mean, what is rude to you, might not be rude to others. What is appropriate in someone's position may be offensive in some others. Justification is quite a relative term. Without knowing the context its really hard to say something as that would just be another opinion. If you provide here the links to that discussion, and be more specific, it would be easier to comment. God bless you

well me i try to understand their point of view if i think that what we are discussing might lead to misunderstanding I'll raise the white flag cause i don't want a simple issue becomes a bigger one and not all what they are posting are topics related to them their just getting the point of view of some lotters maybe that's why because sometimes the post is not somehow related to the person or he/she doesn't care of his/her answer
