i think no body knows. even you dont know why you want a big home to live. i think there may be a reason for the creator not for us. i think before us there were no livelyness and due to this god made us and now he is busy in manipulating our lives.

Only you can determine the meaning of your life. If you ask yourself 'why am i living?' and 'what am i living for?' you will find your answers. Maybe not right now but if you keep on asking, the universe will help you find the meaning for you.

i m not sure i understand :) If the only question is what is the meaning of life.... i mean it s wow such an existential question :)) books were written on the subject :) and still we re not sure of an answer:) and be more specific.. what is life religion wise or just any common human s point of view or what are you asking ?
