Should you be able to check who has visited your profile page ?

Do you think it is right or wrong of Facebook to stop you from seeing who and when people visit your profile page. There are I feel two sides to this. ONE- Who cares who sees your profile pages, sometimes it's the only way to see if you have searched for the right person. If you have every tried searching for an old friend unless they have a very unique name then you may face searching thru' hundreds of profiles just to find the right person. Also if your page and profile is so private to you , you can stop people viewing most of your profile, just let people see the basics, it's easily done. TWO- You may want to know if you are being stalked by someone, maybe an old friend, jealous ex lover etc. This may make you less comfortable about posting information on your pages.
What are your views on this subject ? .

Facebook has privacy settings that, as you said, prohibit others from seeing anything other than the basics if they're not your friend. For this reason I don't see the point in allowing users to see who has checked them out. What would be the point of knowing whether a jealous ex had looked at your profile? Unless there is a restraining order in place which includes the internet, knowing this information would only serve to cause you stress.

as the person above said, you have privacy settings, if you dont have the 'stalker' (ex etc) added then they will not beable to see anything on your wall / info.
So in all honesty, i dont think it would change much. If they're on your friends list then you must VAGUELY like them.

I like the way you describe a friends list ie. You must VAGUELY know them. If you play some of the games on offer on Facebook then you will see just how easy it is to add friends daily even though you dont know them at all, just to help you get on and continue in the games. You are RIGHT though there are privacey settings which I think more people should be aware of , and maybe it's up to Facebook to explain / show new users exactly how to use them. Not everyone is that confident with computers and technology. Thanks for your interesting reply and have a HAPPY DAY.

No i am not able to checked that who have visited on my mylot profile.. because mylot don't gave their users these facility.. have any other way to check this.. please tell... have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

No you are right , you cannot check to see who has visited your profile page here on myLot either, just like Facebook. Although you can see how many people have had alook at your page, unlike Facebook.
You can always filter what information people see about yourself which is a good thing really.

What did you mean by that? If you can't see full profile of other users, that because they don't want anybody seen it, except they already friends or they just give a basic info about themself. I suggest you read the help or FAQ pages. Note: if you search and try add someone on Fb but you aren't sure, just look their photo and fill the messages form. Ok
