Is Chelsea That Good?

I think so! Man, the game today was nuts. I just kept watching saying "something is missing but they are playing so well". Then I realized that Drogba, Esian and Balak were not playing and they were still kicking butt! I support Liverpool but man, Chelsea is so good. That being said, do they have a chance to knock off Barcalona in the Champions League? Barca looked so good this we against Arsenal (another team I think is way too good for their own good). Barca just looked clean, and I mean squeaky clean. Like, you could eat off of their game it was so clean! They did have some trouble towards the end and ended up with a tie but that was Barca taking the foot off the gas and the Gunners ramping it up. Then they were playing even. I would love to se Chelesa play Barca now. Like in the next few weeks. That would be a great game. Any thoughts? cw

I would not say that their performance yesterday was vintage. But I would say it was very effective. I think the master stroke was starting Drogba from the bench. It required a big manager like Ancelloti to be brave enough to take such a decision. And it paid dividends as Anelka was hardworking in the first half and in the second Drogba came off the bench to score the winner albeit from an offside position. Now the title is Chelsea's to lose. The only major hurdle is the trip to Anfield for me. Cheers! Ram

yes Anfield trip will be very very tough...even white Hart Lane will be tough. winning over Man City will be a sweet sweet revenge....for their win at Stam. Bridge by 4-2

Somehow I have a feeling the Tottenham bubble is about to burst. They have to take on Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea in a sequence. I think that is going to deflate them. Cheers! Ram

I guess Chelsea are going after the EPL Trophy because they dont have to worry about the champions league. Manchester United are going through a rough patch again.. That is the reason they lost. But I think Chelsea has a tough fixture ahead compared to ManUtd.. Lets C who's the best.. But Chelsea has a very compact team and a very integrated playing style... Thats Y they are winning

ya they were simply too good.....Chelsea w.r.t Barca have different style of play but equal in quality i think. we have to know that last year Bara won over Chelsea by an "away goal rule" & not by goal difference. & as usual many a times Chelsea were denied penalties, too many controversies, poor referee i sud say...as usual in other prev years as if Chelsea is curse in CL. Barca were lucky...but hopfully Chelsea will meet Barca again.....in CL
