There is a special day in my life at the end of this month, and I want to lose 5 kgs for that day.
I know I should be exercising, but working I do not get much of the time to workout. I try to walk as often as I can, and take stairs instead of elevators. Is there any other tips that could help me to lose weight.
I am also thinking of going on GM diet from monday, as I had lost 3 kgs with GM diet 4 months back.

You need to eat less than your maintanence calorie intake, and that depends on your height / weight you can find this out by googling 'calorie calculator' and eat however much the site tells you for 'fat loss'.
5kgs in 2 weeks is borderline for loosing too much weight too quickly, this can be bad because it can lead to putting the weight back in in a short period of time.

If you go on a low carb, high protein diet you will easily lose the weight in two weeks. You will have to keep your carb intake very low...under 20g per day...and drink plenty of water, but it will work. Your body burns carbs for energy, then burns fat when it runs out of carbs. You can eat meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, some vegetables...but stay away from fruits, pasta, bread. There's a lot of information about low carbing available on the web.
