I saw a picture f it and it looks like a leafy green type of lettuce with a yellow thing on it. It's supose to be healthy. Has anyone had it? Does it taste good? Is it just like lettuce? Is it expensive?

Swiss chard is a green leafy vegetable. It can have different colored veins down the center. Those veins can be green, rainbow, red, and golden. It can be used in a salad but might have a slightly bitter taste. we always used it more as a spinach. It can also be used in stir fries or sauteed. it is so pretty when added to other foods.

Swiss Chard is one of the most wonderful leafy greens you can eat. You can eat the leaves and most of the stem, it comes in many colors but I like the green with white stems. Cut in bite sized pieces and steam, I like the stems to still be crunchy. Serve with salt, pepper, lemon juice and a little olive oil. If you make yourself a green smoothie put some raw Swiss Chard in it along with your Kale it makes a great drink.
