Is it the season? We received two letters this week stating we had won. One was a free gym membership and the other a chance for 1,000,000 if we would only return the card. I haven't received any of these for a long time and to get two in one week I wondered if the advertisers are returning to the US mail? Maybe the Internet just isn't working for them any more? Have you been getting these?

I know what you mean! We get alot of junk mail aswell. Even though some are helpful and you might learn about some great new product or some specials going on in shops, some are just annoying and you wish you never receive them!

That is a very good point, as there are many fake mails going around! Usually you get what they promised for free, but somehow there is a catch or you end up paying for it in another way. It's always good to do your research before taking up some great free offer!

Hi, Pat!
I never noticed any of them decreasing in frequency. That's one of the reasons my recycling bin is always s full!

I get both but the majority come into my inbox, there are hundreds every day, fortunately I have a separate folder for all that otherwise I would never find anything! It’s good to have won something for a change; don’t know about you but it rarely happens to us! Is it genuine? There are so many scams out there that one cannot afford to trust whatever they receive either electronically or via snail mail!

My mum get these kinds of letters all the time aswell as i get them on the same day and we both live in the same road.I think there are alot of people out there that would actually think they had won some money and they would buy something in the hope that they will get their check in the post.

Up till now I have not received any of this stuff. But there were warnings on television by the local financial authorities that businessman have to beware of any scams originating mostly from Nigeria. It seems that scammers try to do all sorts of tricks in order to prey on innocent victims.
