What is engineering in India

yes,i to studing my engineering in one of the reputed college... the education section must be revamped here to get good results...and most of the students (including me) are made to learn the concepts in the books...but not gaven any chance to execute it practically...so most of them are failling in work industry....

I study engineering myself and it is not at all what expect to learn from. Forget innovation there is nothing going on research as well. I read paper from journals i rarely come around an Indian let alone Indian university. System is too eager to fill us will stuff, and many of us take it and score well, however we never try to understand anything which is the actual problem in the education system. However students are really not interested in learning as well most of them do engg. cause their parents told them so, end result is a degree in your hand without any knowledge.
