Do you talk to each other or are you silent when eating a meal together?

Some people have this condition called dysphasia. Even if they want to talk they couldn't same was as those on the wheelchair wish to walk but they cant. I think that husband & wife should talk while they eating.I think that the couple you see at restaurant should be some problem between them.

talking about positive things while having a meal is a good practice.. its a great chance for the both of you to share ideas or express your thoughts.. but keep the negative topics until your done eating,otherwise you might not be able to finish your meal

while eating together with someone we like we will definetly talk and chat.its no use without talking to a person when you are with.

There are many reasons that comes to my mind. First, maybe there is something wrong between them.They have been to an argument.Second, maybe it is there first time to meet and they are thinking what to say or they don't know what to say to each other.Second, maybe it is usual to them,they don't like talking while eating. And maybe they reallt can't talk.

I have observed that people who are silent while eating take more food inside compared to people who talk while eating.Am I right? From another angle also if you talk while eating the muscles in the stomach are more active and help in digesting.So I prefer talking while eating.

maybe that couple are on to something, maybe they are on an LQ (love quarrel), hehe because normally a good vibe couple or any dining out together would normally talk as they eat, i normally talked as i eat to whoever i'm with except if im in a bad mood.(but i can still answer question) but i will not initiate the talking. or there mouth are just full..hehe kiding on this one.

Yes we talk alot =) Maybe there's a problem between those two that's why they are silent with each other..I think communication while you eat whether with your family or partner enhances the good relationship for both of you..So don't stop chatting =)

for us, every meal time is a family time. my parents make sure that we are complete during eating time. and it is the time to talk and share each others views, plans or experience for the day or discuss problems.

when we in a good condition of relation we will do like what ramsey39 did. But when a relationship is in trouble, we will do same with what a couple in the restaurant did. Altough, we eat together with some people other, just like our son, parents, and friends.So, many kind of conditions of relationship, which make people silent and talk no much each other.
