On my previous discussion, I mentioned about many schools were forced to closed due to lack of fund provided by state government, and many teaching jobs were cut too. But we still paying for the property taxes, and there is school tax included in the property tax we paid for every year. I just wondering how the state government or local government allocate that tax money we paid to fund the schools. I doubt that they used it all for our children's schooling benefit.

all we have to do is that we'd better give some more time to the government, and also make some suggestions to them,i think the government is clever enough to manage it. if all the things are beyond our max patience, then what we have to do is that to overthrow the ruling party.

In the US, I think part of it is due to increased costs as much as a lower tax base. More computers, teacher salary increase, demand for better food, and better equipment all over.
The tax base has fallen because of housing foreclosures in many areas. Wherever you see a vacant house for sale, you see that many tax dollars missing from the state coffers. There is a certain amount that must be used for schools regardless of how much the state has, so when they come up short, they have no choice but to close some schools.
