I really find it hard to comment on the responses of my own discussions.LOL. I feel so dumb.My brains can't function well, especially when the responses reach more than five. I can handle at least 5.LOL. That is why some of my comments are somewhat foolish in other responses.
Am I really obliged to comment on every response? Please don't fret if I have no comment on your response. It doesn't mean that I don't like your response or something.I have nothing against you.Ok?hehe
Happy mylotting!

Hi gambamarcela,
It is really hard to give our unique comment for every responses that our discussion has. It is totally brain drained and exhausted experience especially if we receive a few pages of responses (one page has ten responses) for one discussion. More so if most of it are similar responses.
What I do if I face that kind of problem is I will leave my comment for those responses until I can not think another one for the next response. I will take a break (it is up to you how long you want to) for a while. I will freshen my mind and be ready before I am going back to that discussion.
It is not good actually to leave some responses unattended. The responder might think that we are selective in our comment. They might not come back to our future discussion.
And because of this problem, I rarely started a discussion and prefer to response to others.
Good luck.

That is really my dilemma. If I won't leave my comments to all their responses, they might get upset and won't respond anymore. sigh.
Yeah we have the same mindset now. I'd rather respond than start my own discussion. It's a tough job. But, I can't help it if I have something to write.LOL.

Starting a discussion is not a problem as long as we can manage it. I do start a discussion sometimes but it is usually only about football and i knew that I can handle it because most of the discussions about sports would not have many responses. it is hard to get more then one page of responses.
Usually, we have this type of problem (hard to comment on the responses) because we started a few discussions at a time. If every discussions has a few pages of responses, we definitely can not handle it well. And at some point we might abandon it.
Try to reduce the amount of your started discussions. It might give you more time to comment on your discussion that you currently have.

I guess responding to a commenter would really make your topic a "discussion" in the truest sense of the word. It would help to respond to them, but I don't think you're really obliged, especially if you don't know what to say at the moment. I'm like that, too, especially if someone responded to a discussion I made weeks ago. But most of the time, I try to respond to them to tell them I appreciate the time they take reading and responding to my discussions.

But what I've read from FAQ is that writing words of appreciation as a comment is unnecessary or a no-no. Oh well, I have this one discussion that I posted just yesterday, and there are few responses that I haven't commented yet. Am I being unfair to them? I really feel guilty about it. What can I do? My mind went blank again. I'm so dumb.

Of course a simple "thank you" is not enough to further a discussion. Aside from showing appreciation, it's best to respond to what they also have to say. Sometimes it would take a while to answer to their comments and opinions, but you should so that your discussion becomes meaningful to everyone, especially to you. As a tip, clear your mind before going through the responses on your discussions. Read them carefully. You don't have to answer all, just the ones that piqued your interest.

I agree with you ,moonchild.Sometimes I think the content is not the most important.I just want to make sure whether the poster read my response or not.

But my comments become nonsense when I comment to more than five responses.LOL. By the way, I was not aware that I chose music lover as a category for this discussion.LOL. This must belong to mylot.haha.

i guess that is natural specially when your discusion has a big number of response. i only comment on people who responded long enough for me to get a chance to interact. if the response is too short then i am going to have a problem on what to comment. so i dont comment in every single response. thats how i do it. it is cool to get a comment but its okay for me if there is none for me.

Well, as for me, I have a difficulty responding to responses that are connected to their experiences; especially funny experiences.LOL. I become thoughtless.

Hehehe. Well, it actually depends on you, whether you would comment or not, but personally, I try to comment on each of the responses cause it's a nice way of showing them that you really read and appreciate their comments. But there are some responses that really can confuse you and you just don't know what to say, in those times I usually just say thanks for responding or have a nice day, or even both. LOL.

Hehehe. Maybe it's just the heat that's making you too lazy(?!) and too confused(?!) to comment back on all the responses. LOL.
Atleast you commented on mine, I was thinking I wouldn't get any response cause I'm number 11 already. Hehehehe. Thanks!

Oh yeah.I also thought of that when I was still a newbie in mylot. I guess I'm having an attitude problem here.I should pay them my gratitude for having responded to my discussion. If it were not for them, I won't earn.LOL.

Well, I have the similar feelings like you sometimes. When I read the response I feel some difficuty to comment it cause my English isn't good enough to support me to comment all the responses.Especially when some responses are almost the same. But I comment them all almost everytime.I just want to show that I do read it serious and I am grateful for their time to sharing their feeling with me.So sometimes I just comment "Thank you very much."

But as I have commented on the 1st responder, I have read from FAQ that leaving comments such as words of appreciation is a no-no.hehe.

The length of the response is also one of my reasons why I become thoughtless. I always think of making my comments long and sensible. If I have short comment and their responses were like a paragraph long, they might get disappointed for having such a short comment..hekhek.

How about thinking that a discussion here on myLot is the same as a conversation offline? You would find something, no matter how short, to say to everyone who was involved in an offline conversation and here is just the same.
As you have already seen, just saying 'thank you' is not enough but if you imagine that you are talking to a bunch of people (rather than working or doing something at school) it will all become easier - and FUN!

That would be a good idea mysdianait. Having that mindset won't give me pressures. I have fun commenting, eh. I hope mylot would improve my creative thinking ASAP.LOL.

If your time here is giving you pressures then it won't be fun at all. We have enough pressures offline and we can get much better results here if we just take it easy and imagine ourselves in a room full of friends. Then we just start talking away and it is all so much easier.
It works for many of us and I'm sure that imagining like that will work for you too - and then you will find yourself typing so much that you won't know what happened!
Thank you for the BR and happy FUN Lotting!

gambamarcela Hi you are just being too hard on yourself. gambamarcela
you need self confidence, just trust yourself and you will make great comments, you do not need to be a brain or an Einstein, we here in mylot
are not that picky at all, just respond with what you honestley think we all will understand. I am no brain but I do okay, you will be just fine.
Commenting on the responses to your discussion are a great way to really make earnings and people sort of dislike it when nobody comments on the responses we took time to write. go ahead and just make comments on how you feel about the response. do not feel dumb, you sound most intelligent.hugs from hatley.you can do it.okay?

...Hi gambamarcela, If you want to give meaningful response to the comments, it can become a problem. One of my discussions had over 34 responses which
I was thrilled that so many people found the discussion interesting enough to address. But it is a challenge to respond to all of them. But besides that, you earn by responding. So I have taken to breaking my responses into sections, 4 or 5 at one tine, log out and come back for 4 or 5 more until, I have completed each one. You then have time to rest your brain. I try to answer everyone who responses out of respect for the fact that they took the time to write. Take care.
