I have a Samsung Omnia 11, which is a Windows Mobile 6.5 with a touchscreen. I like it as it is easier to use than the keyboard ones, and I have had them too. I just tap on the icon or feature I want to use, and it opens up in a new window, just like the ocmputer does. In fact, my phone canb be considered a mini computer as I can basically do on it what I can on my computer. It is a great phone, and I am glad I bought it.; The only thing I can say about a touchscreen phone is it can be hard to get used to, but I am managing. I haven't had the phone but a month, and I have really enjoyed since I have had it. I think I am going to buy a Windows Mobile phone from now on, as they are great phones, and going online is great too. I can access mylot from it which I haven' been able to do with any other phone. Take care, and have a great day.

In terms of navigating around the phone menus or surfing the Net, touch screen phones are easier than normal phones. Scrolling is made a breeze. Also, text entry is faster too, though some people find that touch-keypad is more difficult and frustrating to use.

I've tried using few touch screen phones but never liked them. I found regular keyboard phones a lot easier to use.

hi chavezrmc, i think the only advantage that the touch screen cellphones has is its just good to see... unlike any other phones, but the touchscreen phones are much more expensive, i have a touchscreen phone which doesnt have a keypad, and its really hard to use, for i have to use a stylus all the time....

I don't think there is something special about having a touch screen cellphone. You should not think that I comment against touch screen because I don't have that. I don't think it is something special becuase I am not fond of many features of the latest mobiles and I don't use them. So, I prefer to have a medium mobile and don't want to invest on high end mobiles.

I'm using a Nokia 5800 xpressmusic phone. The advantages of using a full touch screen phone is that browsing the Net is a nice experience. It is just using a pc.

Hi dear friend Chavezrmc , well i cann say that consumers are getting completeley smitten by the roduct and it seems that these touch screen cell phones are rapidily taking over the key pad hand sets. The touch screen concept has gained popularity after the successefull launch of the apple's Touch Screen Iphone's. Though users have tried to give this new product a try , however , screen cell phones trend is not going to stay in the market for verry long as people who are more habitual to keypad handset are finding it pretty difficult to get used to this high tech cell phones. Here are a few Advantages and some disavantages they have. ************************************************************ Advantages : Easy Navigation = Decent Size Screen = Sleek Design ************************************************************ Disavantages : Difficult Messagging Function = Sensitive Touch Screen = Relatively Small Icons = High Repair Cost I mean i work in construnctions and i bought two of those Iphones one for me and on for my wife , and i am a pretty clumsy when it comes to fragile thingz , i had my phone in mobile service in less then a month :(( and paid almost the price of a ,new one for repairing it ...so i made a bad choice for my case ...now if you take care of its a great phone :)

touch screens are usually larger than traditional screens which we can use as an mp4.in other words,it's very convenient for us to watch videos or browse pictures on our phones. besides, with the rapid development of technology ,cellphone is more than a phone now.it's more like a tiny computer.in this case , a large touch screen for our phone,or a mobile terminal ,is necessary.
