Why the chickens cannot fly high?

All the other birds can fly high.

Because chicken is not a bird!! lol =D A duck cant fly as well, though it looks like a bird too?? And not all birds are meant to fly.. lol =D OStrich is a big bird, and yet they dun fly too.. haha =D BUt then again, chicken do fly, but only for a few inches above the ground before they landed again.. haha =D

Interesting question.I think chickens are fat and heavy.Besides,their wings have become vestigial during the evolution. For the flying birds ,their winds and body should have a proper proportion while chickens don't have the proper body proportion.

Chicken can't fly high because they are huge. But I have some chickens which can fly 15 feet high.
