I can't agree more! The cyberspace provides us a virtual world where we can escape from the problems in reality .As a result,we can't do without the internet. We work on internet ,we make friends on internet,we communicate on internet,we do almost everything on internet. We rely too much on the internet. Then, you'll leave many things you should have done behind .When you realize this you regret wasting so much time in the virtual world.

Yes,I'm a Chinese and I know renren. I'm facing the same problem.I think we should make daily plans and set goals for ourselves .If we exert ourselves to contain the addiction to the internet,I believe we'll be more preserved.

I am an internet junkie and a very addicted game player online. I knew I been a pain in the head of my family for sometimes because I tend to forget to do my chores because of my addiction to online gaming. Maybe I regretted about it for a million times but still I'm playing games...can't resist it.

Hi dear, You are quite right about that. I think most of us feel it not only with the internet but with many other means of entertainment. No matter how we represent it, internet in its pure form is an entertainment. We are happy to avail it of course, but when we get addicted to it, there is little good that is left. There are other important things we need to do as this is not our main duty. There are other jobs we need to take care of. But overindulgence in any entertainment makes us behave in a quite selfish way. We forget everything else, as long as we are on internet. Internet is also a risky entertainment, as there are both positive and negative motivations you can have. I mean, the effect is totally unpredictable. When you are doing something fruitful, which is seldom the case, we get satisfaction. Frequent surfing makes us feel more guilty, guilty of loosing our valuable time. I think we should be less frequent than we are now, and see the effect. That will also reduce our level of indulgence. A moderate use of everything is necessary for not only avoiding any bad influence, but also for having a sustained enjoyment out of it. God bless you

This has been happening to me a lot lately. Mainly its because I have low self-discipline. I'm a procrastinator. And the Internet provides the alternate to doing the things that I'm supposed to do. Thus when I've finished using the Internet and I have to go back to that tasks, I kick myself mentally for being so undisciplined. I have gotten into minor trouble at work for doing this already.
