Why some mylotters have been hide their age in their respective profile..?

It was my b-day yesterday. I don't hide my age. I am offically 39! gasp. Where does the time goooooooo.....

There age is hidden? Hm that's weird. I don't know I'f mine is. I don't care about everyone age on this website it's just chaating. Nothing inapproaite just opinions on issues. But if your really that curious you could always ask. Well happy mylotting

people in nature are afraid to get old/older, so they find ways to deny to themselves that they are actually not yet older, others like a pinch of mystery by hiding some details. celebrity open times hide or true age also..hehe

Some of us are happy to have reached the age that we are and have no problems revealing it while others are less happy about it. We are given a choice and some make use of it while others just don't bother.

Advice doesn't come from age, it comes from within. So, no matter what it will be, anyone's age here, doesn't really make a difference, does it? TATA.

Well,actually I once try to change my ages here.I just want to make a two years old increase.This is a habit since I start surfing in the internet.And I remember I did this cause I think I was too young at that time,but I am used to doing this now.When I find my age here is only 20,I wonder for it cause I didn't list my name here.Then I know it because I filled in my real date of birth and I am lazy to have a change.So sometimes we hid the age or change the age for no reason maybe just for habiting.

i believe age can be an identity, and others are sensitive to share their age - may it be in the internet or not some people just dont choose to divulge any information about themselves. i think it's just ok to share you age - it helps people understand you when you write, and it helps people relate your topics too... but maybe its just their choice and a personal one.

They just don't want you to know I guess. Some people don't like others (especially random strangers on the internet) knowing how old or how young they are. It's just a question of privacy and how much you want. Not everyone wants to display certain aspects or details about themselves. I don't really care who knows how old I am but I'm just one person. Some people are going to hide some things. Just respect their privacy.

People hide their age and what state they live in. I don't understand why myself. I stated my age and where I live. Maybe its so they can lie about their discussions. I remember reading a discussion last year where someone claimed to be old and very sick meanwhile their age was listed as twenty something. So if you don't put an age or a correct age people can make up stories that are not true to start a discussion.

I do that too and it's because I just don't want people to know how old I am. I don't really want strangers knowing everything about me so I keep a lot of things private until I get to know them a little better.

I think hiding age is their personal matter.. and we don't do nothing.. because every people have liberty to do anything.. and i think it is not a serious matter to hiding their age.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

yh,I have the same feelings about that. But in a another words,I think everyone have their own privacy that they don't want the strangers know a lot.After we are closer than before,if they are willing to tell me sth,that's all.Or,it mean nothing.Just a stranger.

I will not hide my age coz i will not feel to hide it which is waste and unnecessary. Age may reveal the experience of the personal but not the knowledge. For me knowledge is important.

I don't really like anyone to know my age, no matter who they are in my life (well, aside from family), I just would rather people just "judged" me for who I am, not for my age.

anonymity.sometimes you can verify someone by posted age if you already know them. either that,or they don't like their age. i have mine posted cause i don't care,but some sites do ask you to post too much information.

Hi siliguri, It may be a personal choice to hide the age and gender. But when we visit a profile it is annoying if the necessary details are hidden. In case of age, ok I agree one does not want to reveal the age but why can’t they specify their gender in their profile. Let them enjoy their freedom what else I cans say.

hi siligurl well I at times wish I had hidden my age as a lot of middle aged people think elderly people should be seen maybe but not heard and I love to mylot, and get all sorts of remarks from praise and kindness to sneers and making fun of. but it is my true age and I have always been the honest type.

There is no ONE answer to this question. Everyone may have their own reasons. Age is irrelevant anyways. It is just a number. I personally do not care if anyone knows how old I am, but I generally do not post my age either. Is there a reason to want to know how old someone is?

Many persons not only here but in various sites and in real life hide their ages, i too donot know why, but i bet if i talk for 15 mins face to face i can tell the age... what is your view about those, who are male, but post a sexy female picture as avtar...
