Is it really true that you can teach your heart to love someone?

I think it is true. I learned to love my gf right now. It started with a joke. But as time past by I have learned to love her dearly.. And honestly. Not as a joke. but for real.

I don't think you can truly teach your heart to love another person. the feeling for them is there or it isn't. We can often hurt ourselves and other people by deceiving ourselves into believing we love someone. love is not something that can be taught to the heart. it is something that needs to be felt.

The heart can be taught to love. It has the capacity to do so. But to love a person because one is obliged to do so is a different matter. The brain sends the wrong signals to the heart. When this happens, the heart suffers. So does the relationship. But there are relationships that last. More often than not, it is filled with misery. The natural course is to tell the heart to find the one true love.

Love is a feel that comes out naturally.
