Really thinking of it. If everyone is educated who will be carpenters, construction workers, delivery boy and more? So who has to study who has to stay uneducated? For a countries success It should have a balance of Educated and uneducated people. There still must be farmers, fisherman and other people. But they should have a good life to. For they are the ones giving us food. Construction workers, carpenters and others should have a good life too. They are the one who builds our shelters, our home. It is all about benefits and this way. Every position needed will be filled without problem.
This is a perfect world far from reality so what do you think?

I think you will find that many people in the positions you mantion have been educated to quite high standards. these people need to be able to use complicated mathematical and logic skills and, those who are self employed need to have a good business head. Furthermore, they have to learn the skills of their trade. Here, people with such practical knowledge and experience often earn far more than those who have continued with their academic studies. I think every worker should be valued and I dont think we need to keep anyone away from the opportunity of being educated.

Completely right, they should be fixing this. If there isn't going to change something, there will be a problem in the amount of people in that sector. Everyone wants enough money to have the best way of living possible, so the sector of farmers, fishermen,... should get a raise in my opinion.

They should because they have loads of tasks to do. I don't know why managers are paid most when they don't do much and they don't even own the firm than those workers.

Hi arreolabryan,
It is definitely a good thing if everybody become well educated person. Maybe the competition for the job opportunity is very thigh but this is also good so only the best can be selected and the productivity of the company also can be improved.
Even the farmer need educations. In my country, our government has started a scheme for undergraduate to participate in the farming sector. If the farmer is well educated, they can manage their farm with more efficiency and effectively. They know what is the best for their farm to get improved. They also not hesitate to use all the new technology to improve their productivity. This is not the same with those who is not get well education especially from urban area where they still believe the spiritual things.
There are a lot of well education people work as a delivery boy, in construction site and many more place where there is not a choice place to work before. This is a real life and we need money to survive. There is no shame to work in that place even though you have a degree or master. We need to face the current economic situation wisely to survive.

Wonderful - I have spent 40 long years - hope from that number of years educations is going on and so many of them because literates and have improved their life styles though they did not leave their profession, instead their charges form doing has increased around 80%.
So even though people become educated some have their own choice of taking up professions as to their bent of minds.
We cannot stop any one in their own interests.

Well, i would say everyone should be educated. It should be no more that you study to get a job, we need to find another purpose for us being educated. It is just that education should be for us to grow up and gain the strength to be what we want to be. Also, does everyone who is "educated" become what they were "educated" for. Not at all. We are a huge population now. So the demand for people in different areas will always be there. For instance a person may want to run his family furniture business even though he is an engineer.
There is not always a direct link between education and job. Education is always ONE OF THE criteria to get a job and not THE criteria to get a job.

Well for me everybody should at least get the basic education they need to and later in life they are the ones to decide what they want to become in their life. I think education should be given to everybody whether you are planning to become a lawyer or just planning to be a simple carpenter, farmer or fisherman. Everybody should be given equal opportunity to be educated. In our place, not all are privilege to finish schooling but everybody are encourage to get the very basic education that each citizen is given the right to education.
Do not worry about who will be carpenters, farmers, or fishermen because there will always be people who will do that for the rest of the population.

you're mistaken if you think that carpenters, construction workers etc. are uneducated or need to be so.
different people excel in different fields of work. I assure you, people in these sort of fields of work know a lot of things that most of us would find difficult to understand.
even more manual labour work comes with a great deal of knowledge with it. farmers know a lot of things, often learned through growing up in farming, spending their whole lives on a farm and around livestock. if you were landed in such a position of work, even with a stack of books, you'd not have the experience needed.
these careers are not lesser than those needing degrees.
everyone should be educated to the highest level they feel able to acheive.
everyone has a niche in life, and education keeps your options open.

I am not an expert in this. But I wish to comment. Perhaps the word "educated" could be used to mean as having undergone formal schooling.
Though in a deeper sense, it seems that a person could be highly educated without having gone to school. On the other hand it seems a person may possess a high academic degree and still fall short of being considered educated.
To my mind, this interesting discussion could be helped is we use word "educated" and use another word e.g. "schooled", if you will , to refer to a person who has a certain amount of academic credentials.
In that case then:
There would be schooled people who are also educated. We need more of them.
There are schooled people who are not educated. We pray for them.
There are unschooled people who are educated. We must listen to their ideas.
There are unschooled people who are not educated. We must beware of them because they are causing 80% of the world's problems.
Would you agree?

Or perhaps we can use the phrase "academic qualification"? I agree with you that to describe those people who do not receive much education at school as uneducated, may sound a little... inappropriate. The word "uneducated" should be used on people who have not received any kind of social education from the school called Life.

There's nothing wrong when everyone gets a good education. Having a good education also doesn't ensure that you'll have a good life but it would ensure that you have enough knowledge on your day to day living. Even if everyone will have a good education, there will always be farmers, construction workers and any other skilled workers out there. The only difference is, if all of them will have a good education then they can demand a higher salary from their employers.

I think everyone can still receive education, but to be a brain surgeon or a construction worker, it all depends on the grades. Granted, some people are just not cut out for academic education, and they choose to, or are forced to drop out of school. As a result, they may have to settle for manual jobs with mediocre salaries.

there are so many aspects of education. farmers would become better farmers and fishermen would become better fisher men, construction workers and carpenters would also become better construction workers and better carpenters to make our our homes better, safer and more comfortable to live in.

well it's ok that everyone is educated but there are some factors that your reasoning can't be on the same conclusion on a certain topic like for instance when their passing a bill they have their own reason either they like or not so the bill can be or can't be passed so there maybe some conflict to their reasoning if some think a bill can do good to the country they will vote to pass it but there are many also that contradicting it.

I don't think that construction workers, fishermen of farmers are per definition not educated, but in another way. They have more practical knowledge and know-how and that's very important too. Ones there is a shortage of people for a certain job you see a trend that the job gets paid better or that the company pays for your education. This is currently the deal with jobs like electricien and plummer for which you do need an education (at least here in Holland I don't know about other countries). Extra funding for these studies is also a way the goverment tries to stimulate people to choose this type of career.
I believe everyone should get a fair salary and a chance to learn, learning practical things is just as important. Some people are strong and work better with their hands, others work better with their head. It doesn't mean one is better than the other, it's just different.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Some people will want to do whatever, regardless of their educational status. I think every person has a right to learn about whatever the want to. People are not slaves and this is not a "Brave New World" with it's classification of alphas to epsilons.

hi arreolabryan okay but if the carpenter is not educated he will indeed be a lousy carpenter, if he cannot do math his work will stink. here in the US a carpenter is not thought of as an uneducated person. think in order to do any job well and efficiently you do need some education, not b eing able to read and write went out in the dark ages. Farmers oh for goodness sakes if they do not know what crops to grow and when they will fail, think they must have education, these jobs all take some education and learning, this is a fallacy for sure. even fishermen must now know math, and science, no no no we all need education.I think we all must have education and we here in the US pretty much do. these jobs you seem to think are uneducated no they are not, not in this modern world. if you are not educated and do not know what the heck you are doing you will fail miserably., so Education is indeed good for us all in any country. You must think only teachers and business people and wealthy bankers need education well you are so wrong, really, just think about it. If a carpenter did not know how to measure and how to figure out how much materials he needs he will do no good at anything. Your premise boggles my mind as it is so wrong.

I totally do NOT agree with you.Without education, the world can't proceed.Yes,we need workers,we need carpenters we need dilivery boys. But who said that educated people can't be those people? The aim of education is just to make people know more sothat they live easier and happier. You are not wrong, but because the education system is not perfect yet.In all,it's necessary for everybody to get educated,no matter who is he or she.
I'm glad to discuss with you.

If everyone is educated not only our country but the whole world will be advanced in all fields. so carpentry, construction and in all fields if they are educated will design and develop latest equipments which will be very perfect and time consuming. everyone will have enough money and time to spent that money coz everyone works but find no time to enjoy it.
