Has it happened to you?

I will admit that I am an on-again, off-again poster to myLot. I became a member 3 years ago and, over the past year, I haven't been on much. I just didn't have a ton to say and have had some personal drama so, I backed off. I think the last time I was on was 3 or 4 months ago. I get on today, look at my earnings and see that $50 + that I had accumulated was down to $0.00. Has that happened to any of you? I guess I should have cashed in a few months ago. I could really use that $50 + now but, what can I do about it now. I'm peeved but, less learned I guess.

Wow. That sucks. I think you have to atleast log in within 90 days or your earnings will be deducted. I'm not sure. Take a look around the FAQS area. I think i saw it there.

Frontvision...I think that before my last login, I went for way longer than 90 days so, I don't really know. I thought about making a visit to the FAQs to see if there was anything in there. I probably will sometime. Just don't feel like it right now. LOL!

Hey cortjo! Well, it's about time! Great to see ya girlfriend!
Been wondering what happened to you! I have thought about you
many times and wondered what was going on and why you left and
nobody seemed to know what happened to you! Glad to see that
you are alright at least! As for the money thing, I don't have
any idea how long the it is held in your account! It goes into
PayPal when you make the minimum and that's all I know since
I transfer the funds immediately into my checking account it
has no time to add up! I hope you will stay around for awhile!

Hello Opal! Good to see you and, thank you for thinking of me! I have thought about all of you too. Just job drama. Lost the one almost 2 years ago. Got another one and lost that one too because the President was sort of a pyscho. She doesn't like her employees to talk to one another and, regardless of the fact that I worked my rear off there, learned a bunch of stuff and had my manager singing my praises, she still did away with me and 2 other girls on the same day. Part of the reason was that we talked to one another...Heaven forbid. LOL! I refused to follow that unofficial rule because work is your home away from home. You spend more waking hours at work during the work week than you do at home so, you have to develop friendships, even if they are only work friendships, with your co-workers or you might go insane. Or at least, get really depressed. But, the President of the company, whose hubby and son also worked there (hubby was VP), didn't want anyone forming friendships. She also ran it illegally. Georgia law is that you get one half and hour break and two 15 minute breaks for every 8 hours you work. She only gave us a strict 30 minute lunch break. She could have her business license revoked for that. Given what she did, my wrongful termination, if I were a troublemaker, I could have made her lose her business. She's lucky I am not that kind of person.
Whew...what a tangent I just went on. LOL!
Caliya...the rule is that you must login at least once inside of 90 days or your earnings will be forfeited. I still don't know why mine were forfeited because, when I got in yesterday, I was already still logged in from the last time which, I would swear was within the past 90 days. I wish I could have it back because, I would swear that I am right but, I won't fight it. Thank you for your support! :)

In the rules or faqs or somewhere they say that if you are inactive for something like 90 days or so, you lose what you have earned up to that point. I lost about a dollar that way once. All you needed to have done was post at least one response once a month to be safe and you would still have your earnings. Since it is in the rules or faqs, I don't see how you can get it at this point.

Actually, you don't even have to post. All you have to do is log in.
Here's the FAQ you reference: www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx

Are you sure? Did you check Paypal? I have never had them do that to me. I would be pretty upset. I work hard for what i make on here and other sites and would not like it just to go to 0. Yep. Lesson learned. I wouldn't let that happen again to be sure. I would hate that.

Celticeagle,
Yea...I did check my paypal and, one of the admins provided a link for me in a post above. It says that if you don't do anything for 90 days you will lose it all. So, stay current. LOL! It is frustrating but, you live and learn. LOL!

I hope by now you've found your answer in the FAQs.
I'm sorry you lost your earnings and I'm sure you worked hard for them. Have you since changed your minimum payout amount?

Thanks GoAskAlice! I haven't changed my minimum amount but, I might go do that soon. I want to see how long it takes me to get up to $10. It took quite some time to get it to the $50 + it was up to before. And, it was a lot of work. I don't take my responses lightly. I am thoughtful and I usually have a lot to say. LOL! But, I learned my lesson. LOL! Thanks for your help!

"I don't take my responses lightly. I am thoughtful and I usually have a lot to say."
That's pretty obvious.
Given that fact, it shouldn't take you very long to reach payout again.
Just to clarify, there's a difference between the information stored on your computer and whether you actually come to www.mylot.com. The reason you appear to remain logged in is because of a cookie that is stored in your browser. It keeps you from having to manually log in again when you reach the site.

Oh that’s very sad indeed…$ 50 is indeed quite an amount but you’ve learnt your lesson and so have we, who never paid any attention to this aspect (like me LOL)…I’ve never lost any money here mainly coz I’ve never allowed that money to accumulate…have always used it up like when it reached $25/$20 to buy something substantial. Right now, although, I’m thinking of accumulating like $100 to buy something online so I’ll keep this post in mind and make it a point to log in regularly.

I'm an on-again, off-again poster too! That has not happened to me before. Have you checked your paypal account? I was once having trouble with my paypal account so I raised the pay out amount on this account so that I wouldn't receive payout. I now have a pretty high amount that just sits there and never just disappears. Hope you figure it out.

My earnings here are $100 before they move the money to my Paypal and, I did look in my Paypal and nothing was moved there. Sadly, that money is just gone. I could try to raise a stink about it with myLot management but, I just don't really see getting a response about it because, I know from the past, that people have had a hard time getting anything from them so, it would be a waste of time to even try. I guess I just need to chalk it up to a lesson learned. LOL!

hi cortjo, i have also became a member 3 years ago and look, i only have less than 500 posts. lol. well, it is maybe because i easily get bored and get tired of these things especially when i do not have any more things to say. but now i am again trying to maintain my mylot account and respond or post to atleast 10 per day. :)

Hello Laiza! I can understand that. I don't always have something to say either to add to a discussion or start my own. So, sometimes I will take a short break. This time was a little combination of both. Nothing interesting to say or add to and I went through a little period of depression upon losing another job. Just make sure that you login inside 90 days. The rule says you don't even have to post, just as long as you are logged in and continued to login. That way your account won't go idle if you haven't logged in inside of 90 days.

Hi, cortjo73. I don't think that this has happened to me. If it did, I may not have had as much earnings as you may have had. I think that this has happened to me too. But I can't be quite sure. Were you saving this money for something, may I ask, if you don't mind me to? I am sorry that this has happened to you. I hope that it never happens again. I have been inactive a few times as well. And mines was due to some personal issues that I was experiencing in my outer life outside of myLot. I have been back here for five months now. I have been here steadier now. Just learn from this, that is all that I can tell you. When you know that you may not plan to ever come back to myLot in a certain time frame, just select ten dollars as your payout limit. That way, if you have accumulated this amount or more while you are away, it will immediately be deposited into your paypal account. In the meantime, don't feel about what has happened. We all will lose money sometime in our lives. I know that I have plenty of times. But the main thing is that we know not to ever make the same mistake again, which is pretty reassuring when we are disappointed. I am glad that you are back. Welcome back to myLot, cortjo73.

Thanks Cream. I could just use that money to pay down a bill. I don't have a job right now and, remembered the amount that I had in there and was going to change my paypal to have it moved there but, I didn't do it in time. I think I must have just missed it because, I remember looking not too long ago on here and the money was still there. I just didn't have a moment at that time to post anything so, I didn't. Oh well. It stinks that I lost that amount but, I learned what I needed to learn and won't let it happen again.

hi mylot friends
I'm not sure I see such a thing do not know where but I think the questions and answers regarding this site, which try to read again, or try to contact the support site will benefit more than the members. And I ask you success in the solution near, God willing.

Thanks Tiguer! One of the admins pointed me in the right direction in a few posts above. Turns out that you merely have to login often. Just make sure you login within 90 days because if you don't within 90 days, it will forfeit anything your have earned as it will look like you are idle.
