How can I prepare the lemon curd?

Yesterday I tried to prepare the lemon curd, I followed this instructions:
2 lemons
sugar 100 gr
butter 40 gr
eggs 2
Are the doses correct?
The consistency was right, but not the taste!
Someone help me?!

You need the zest AND the juice of the lemons. I think you didn't have enough lemons. Here is the recipe my mother used:
4 lemons, rind and juice
4 eggs
4oz butter (110g)
1lb sugar (450g)
Grate the zest of the lemons (just the yellow part - as little of the white peel as possible) and squeeze the juice. Put sugar, rind and juice, butter and beaten eggs into a large basin on top of a pan of simmering water. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until thick and curd coats the back of the spoon. Pour into warm, sterile jars and refrigerate.

If you are using two lemons, halve the quantities but it's better made in larger batches.
It's important to use a double saucepan or a bowl over a pan of boiling water. The bowl should fit in the pan without touching the bottom. It's also important to stir constantly otherwise the egg will curdle.

it depends on your taste,
more lemons for sour taste and it is good also...TATA
