What are your dreams?

Someone asked me today if I had given up on my dreams, and I said no. Then they asked me what my dreams were. I didn't have much to say. So I'm asking you, what are your dreams? And I'm speaking of what you want to do in your life, not what you dream about when you go to sleep at night.

Umm... When I was younger I wanted to marry a cowboy, of course everyone goes through this phase. Years later I wanted to live out in the country like my grandparents did growing up. Well I got that wish as we live in the country, I also have my cowboy. I also dreamt of having my own farm, well I'm thinking that just might happen sooner or later because two out of three have, now if it doesn't that's okay I'm happy with my two out of three!
Of course I've changed dreams so many times since then but I still want to be a farmer!

Yep but there were plenty of other dreams that I didn't fall through. I guess that's life, we have so many dreams because not all of the are of us, we have to find the ones that are. If that makes sense.

I have lots of dreams not only for myself but also for my family. Just like you I have not given up for my dreams. Maybe for myself, not for my family. I really strive more to achieve my dreams for my family.

I have always wanted to be a book writer. I have wanted to do this for a good while. I have wrote a few kids books for fun but I am not sure how great they really are. I also tried writing a mystery book but I did better writing kids books.

Interesting you ask this now. I have had many dreams and each time they fall through. I have dreams of dancing and ministering to people and then I had dreams of writing, hoping to help people that way. I even had a dream that someone will hire me so I don't have to be under my husband's thumb anymore, but that too seems to be a dream, far gone..

Do not worry AmbiePam,
I am 35 and I just found my direction, I am sure you would find yours too. Now it is how you get to your plan.
I just found my mentor, and I am going to learn how to get property and get some passive income from it.

My dream is to be financially free so that I can provide a better future and a better life to my family. My three daughters in particular. That is why aside from working, I do online businesses during my spare time so I could earn more money.

I want to get my GED, I want to be able to get out..work some without having the problems I do..One of my dreams is to lose weight and maintain that loss..so I can live a healthier happy life. I wanted to become a art/craft teacher at school for younger children. Don't see that happening anytime in my future unless a miracle happens.

I guess they were right about if you don't use it you lose it..I was also a average student and it has been almost 20 years since I have been in school..and they have changed so much stuff now then it used to be..the test are even harder..most are not just pick from multiple choice anymore you have to also show your work and how you got the answer..Lord I am so clueless with my little sister's homework and she is in 3rd grade...her school is at a advanced level though..and where her last school was on level 7 and the new school is level 18...she has alot of catching up to do..they are doing 4th.5th grade work even...lol I lost 17 pounds last month..not alot really..I should have tried harder..but was dealing with some emotional issues so I wasn't able ot focus on my health as much as I needed to. I have went tot he library several times.Yes they have the books..but they are always out and a waiting list..so I give up..lol..I was just checking last night on a few sites that offer free help to study for the exam..so maybe the might be hope for me yet..for that one dream anyhow.

Do you think you remember enough to get your GED by just taking the test and not going to classes they offer? I know a couple of people who got their GED, and I know a friend of mine desperately wants to get her GED. I think she is scared personally. She was an average student, but she has been out of school for 15 years, and she doesn't think she could take the test without taking classes first. I do think the library offers a guide on how to test for a GED.
I'm in the process of fully realizing the "healthy" life I want. I've made so many changes, and I'm trying to take each day as it comes. Time seems to go so slowly when it comes to seeing a difference in my weight. But I can do it. And so can you.

I dream to have a business of my own. I just started thinking about it when I attended a finance seminar. I thought to myself I can never save money from being an employee. So what I did is save some money and when I saved some already find a business that are small in capital. I found one and now i am working hard to be able to be succesful in this field.

My general dream in life is to be as successful as possible. Obviously, with that success I would like to see some growing compensation! I don't want to ever get in a rut in my career to where I feel like I'm stuck because I never want a ceiling over me; I always want the opportunity to excel. People who are satisfied with where they are never achieve anything more. That's not to say it's a bad thing as long as they're happy and content. My ideal job would involve helping others. I also enjoy working with numbers, especially in accounting. I think I would really enjoy bookkeeping for a company. Right now, I work in the escrow accounting department at a title insurance company. It's great experience, but I'm getting to the point where I'm doing the same thing all the time. I think there is more out there for me. The earnings aren't that great either. I don't think I'm the CPA type, but I'd love help a company with their bookkeeping or help other people for instance take charge of their finances, get out of debt, etc. I think whatever I do in the future while being successful, as long as I'm helping people and working with numbers, I'll be happy in fulfilling my dreams!

I could go on and on in my list of dreams. First and foremost would be to be a good mom and wife, as well as live life to the fullest in celebrating God. But outside of family and faith, I would absolutely love to become a published poet. I would be content just to have one book actually published, even if there were zero copies sold. Working towards owning a farm full of animals and gardens and such has always been a dream of mine. I can picture myself getting up at the break of day to milk cows and gather the eggs...I was raised country, and that is something I have not been able to leave behind. Working with children or the elderly, as in being a teacher, daycare provider, or nurse would be ideal for me, as well. I have a soft spot for those of youth and older age. That would be the jist of my dreams. Maybe one of these days one or more will come true!

At 47 years of age I feel I have lost focus on what I want. I always wanted to be a published author but seem to have lost the motivation. I have come up with bigger dreams, like a bucket list, but none are accomplishable at this time due to financial restraints. Maybe it is because of this I have become discouraged.
I love my husband and love and adore my kids and am very proud of them. They are 13 and 16 and worry about what life will be like after the leave the nest. Maybe we'll have the money to accomplish some of those things on my bucket list, but I am not getting any younger and feel life is passing me by.
If have so many "If only..."s, but I know I should just do it, stop making excuses. But I really don't want to get us into any further debt than we're already in.
I always wanted to be a writer. I seem to have lost my desire and motivation. I do everything I can to keep that motivation going by attending writing classes, workshops and bi-monthly writing group sessions. But when I'm at home I just don't feel it.

I envision my life to be successful, meaning I am managing a business and the profits from it are deposited in the bank and portions of it are given to charity. I do not have to worry about money matters because my business is giving me the money that I need via residual income (perhaps an apartment complex). Of course, I am married to my girlfriend and we go to places where we wanted to go. Income from stock investments pours in too. We will have kids and they are going to the best school to have the best education. Since I'm not working anymore and have the necessary passive incomes I have time for my family and for myself.

I always wanted to write and I guess I am doing that now. I dream for health, wealth and happiness. I don’t know how those things should come to me, I used to think I did but that only led to discontent because I would be so busy trying to make things happen that I would miss out on so many different opportunities and experiences. I have no idea what is install for me I just hope it brings me joy whatever is, that is my ultimate dream!
