Do you accept that men are polygamous?

Islam is basically 'allow' a man is more than one wife (polygamy). Islam 'allows' a married man to four wives provided that the husband should be able to make 'fair' to all his wife. Although permissible in some cultures, polygamy is opposed by many parties. Especially feminists oppose polygamy, because they regard polygamy as a form of oppression to women. even though I am Muslim, I do not agree if a man did polygamy.

I don't think all men are polygamous,there are still considers monogamous,in some cases men become polygamous because their of community and their society,which encourage them become polygamous, but still depends on men control how to make that word meaningless.And I don't think I can accept my man to be polygamous,affair to another girl is not acceptable and make an excuse to be polygamous, its not really that means.

I think that society has imposed monogamy for several reasons. I am in favour of it. I must admit that a monogamous relationship has difficulties and lack of comprehension, let alone if you are in a polygamous relationship. I will never dream to have two or three wives. That would drive me crazy. I think that there are several animals which are monogamous so why can't humans who are more intelligent can't do it? I think that it only requires self control and discipline.

I believe some of men are polygamous, as in other parts of the country it is just normal. But I still believe and hope there are men who can be loyal to their wives. I have the believe that some men are weak when it comes to love. They easy to get interested on some of the women and they don't care if they are in relationship. There are polygamous and there are still loyal, I really hope so!

People always say that but for me its just an excuse for some men to say that they are polygamous by nature. Its not just an alibi. Its something that men wanted to be accepted by women in some sense but its just not right. Naturally men are polygamous but it doesnt mean that if they are polygamous then they are not going to do something about it. A natural man is an enemy to God. Since something is natural then that means it can be denatured. That's the reason why I dont accept that falacy that men are polygamous cause there's something that can be done.

i also won't agree and accept that men are polygamous in nature. i could have been there, but that was only because i was curious of the thing. but learned my lesson and make things better. i know some men who really are very proud when they have new girlfriends, but i do not look at them as more than a man.

no, it is not so in my opinion. depends on how a man wants to frame his time. if he feels that being faithful is good, he does that. but if for him being into many relationships at a time is cool, he follows that.. no hard and fast rules actually... have a great day ahead..

I think it depends upon the hobby of the boys. Some are not like this specially if they really loves their spouse or partner. Those who are religious person dont have this affair. I think this happen only to guys who are fun with pretty girls and not contended with one lover.Also inheritance genes of being playboy is also similar for that. Or else thios happen to his parents and in some instances it alo repeats to the son.

As far as I am concerned, I think I will not accept that men are polygamous. I think it can not be understood by nowadays. It maybe a crime for people now. I think everyone should have one and can just have only wife in law. They can not have the second one.

i agree there the more they can use the better they feel,just for sake of boosting/bragging they can do it...one woman/one man that's how it should be. no wonder diseases get passed on with floating from one to another.utter disgusting.

hi mylot friends Believe me, this the nature of the men the man if he found something in the mirror do not leave and that did not find what he wishes Bdelha and married marrying something good but you can everyone is happy is very difficult, I can not say that I have with polygamy or not this is because I'm getting married willing one God and Larry and at the time, but I'll tell you have the right to marry four and God only knows.

I can overlook many of men's shortcomings and I totally understand that men are not made to be perfect but I can never ever tolerate polygamy. No matter how great my love for the guy I would rather leave the relationship than suffer for the rest of my life. I think most women would agree. Being unfaithful is ugly and no way should it be tolerated.

i don't think that is true to all men. Well, most men have the tendency to be attracted to another person but it does not necessarily mean that he is polygamous.

Men are polygamous by nature, as in it is natural for men to want to procreate with many women for the purpose of ensuring off-spring. However, it is also natural for a man to be aggressive and prone to fight because, by nature, we want to be the Alpha male. That being said: we are far more than that which we are by nature. To want to sleep with many women is purely an instinctual, physical desire. We are rational beings and as such must learn to think past the instinctual and "that which is only natural," to see what is RIGHT or WRONG. That ability to rationalize and attach a value of right or wrong to an action is what makes us different from every other animal on Earth. So sure, I accept the fact that we men are Polygamous by nature; however that doesn't mean that such a statement is an excuse for cheating. If you're in a relationship with someone and you've come to the agreement that the two of you wish to be monogamous then there is no discussion: the pure fact that you've both agreed means you're dealing at a much higher level then arguing about instinctual desires.
