The internet is slower at night time

nah, since I "borrow" internet from a supposedly "secure" wireless connection from down the street,as long as the signal is OK- my internet is fast day or night.em]thumbup[/em]

i have the same problem with you. i assume that in the morning few people surf the internet while at night many people get online . internet connection is just like a highway, the more cars there are ,the slower you'll drive.the internet is crowded at night time ,just like a traffic jam.

It is the other way for me, In the night it becomes super fast, because lee number of users, and in the day its speed varies.

You are right more people using DSL at night time around your community. We experience fast at night and at morning is very slow. I think your internet plan or many user in your area makes it slower. I think you have to check your neighbor connection and ask their connection sp that you can have definite idea.

hi I used to check my internet speed regularly with http://www.scanmyspeed.com/.I too noticed that internet speed is slowed down at night times.But i also dont find the correct solution.

I have DSL connection too but I guess it depends upon the area. In our area, it's the other way around. More people access the Internet in the morning and afternoon, maybe because they can only access it when they are working or they don't have a computer and Internet connection at home. At night, the speed is really fast and I could download a 2GB torrent in just 3 hours.

maybe many more people use internet at that time of night, that is making it slow. there could also be some other reason. you should phone up the customer service of your internet service provider and check with them

i also have dsl connection and i agree... it really gets slow at night... and thats the usual time i have for surfing.. haha

I found in my Internet Service provider internet really slow at 7 to 10 in the night. More than time connection really fast, but I am not a night owl.

Here is different. The speedy of internet connection is slower in the afternoon. At night is a little better, must be because some people got out of the work and some of the business is closing, so I think that the network is a little less used. But morning is really a good hour to use the internet. The speedy is better. From the 1 am to 8 am the internet speedy here works very nice.

yes my network also slow at nite times after 11. it's vry irritating. but day time is very fast accesng i think n8 time der is lot's of users online

there are instances when my connection is really slow. i am from the philippines and based on my observation, and location, as well as my provider, the slow connection occurs in the morning, probably around 9am and in the evenings, starting at 8pm. it will gather speed again at around 10pm onwards

Yeah, I have noticed that too, swetashah. i think the reason why the internet is slower at night time is because there are more users at night than day.. it's annoying, isn't? i hope DSL companies could do something to fix it...

I used to have DSL had had the same problem. It was always faster in the morning and slower at night because more people were on it at night. I do have to say it depends on what you call "night". For me I found that it got faster later into the night. But between like 6-11 it was normally slow.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think it is what you have said that makes the wirespeed so slow in the night. Because epople all over the worls may get into night almost in the night,when the people can be the most. With so many people surf the net, so that we must enjoy the slow speed of the net.

yes i agree with you if night many people use internet,that causes internet slower than morning or afternoon.but honestly i never check my speed connection,because i dont have seriously problem about my connection,so i just enjoy my time with browsing internet

I believe you. I did check my internet connection at 10 pm and it is only 200 kbps whereas yesterday morning at around 5 am when I checked it, it was 1.68 mbps! I think internet connection is faster around 12mn to morning, when almost everybody is asleep.
