The use of word human for all those who seem to be in the semblance of human like figure is a misnomer. Three types of creatures abide in the apparent bodies of human. Some are downright animals. The basic nature of all human is that of animal. In those people the base nature is not dormant but comes to the surface of their consciousness are animals. Those who can control their urge to be animal are simply men. They are a stage above animal. Next is human. Those who not only can control their dormant animal urge but also can pretend to be good are human. Human need not be good but they can pretend to be good. They might not love, but they can show them to love. They might not by sympathetic, patient or tolerant but they can show themselves to be thus are human. Those who can be naturally, loving, caring, sympathetic, patient and tolerant are not human but they are divine. This quality has not yet seeped into human conduct but they are in a process of turning divine. For this to happen it would take a long time. Man needs religion because he cannot live according to his given conduct. If he is a man he cannot live like a man, he slides down and turns animal whenever he is emotionally stressed. Likewise a human too can turn into an animal or just be a man. At times he fails to pretend and loses his composure. Religion is the crutch and with its help he can to some extent live according to his given nature. Religion subdues his base nature; it can take care of his moral, provided he practices his religion and he loves and honor God. Now to answer this question why he needs different religion, there are many ways to reach God, some are short and some are longer. Men take these different routes according to their choice, because God has given man a free will.

..hi.. I look at it this way.. we human beings with one goal.. that is to enter into the kingdom of God and in entering God's kingdom, we walk through different doors and I associate that doors with religions.. we have different religions but we only have one goal.. and we chose what door we want to take.. of course, we will take what is comfortable for us just like how we chose our own religious sect.. we enter a religion where we feel comfortable and we understand it fully.. for me, people who are fighting trying to prove that their religion is the real one is totally useless since God didn't appoint only one religion to be true.. what's happening is, people are trying to deceive other people about who or what religion is real.. It should have been better if people would just respect each other's religion and not waste time and energy deceiving others.. it will be much much better if all religions will work as one in spreading the word of God..

I think one of the biggest mistakes made by mankind is to assume or think etc that we ARE one being..WE ARE NOT...not even close..THATS IMO one of the reasons different religions are needed..Another reason is location and culture..Ppl all over the world have different ideas of what is what becuase they are all over the world...The life, the thought process of someone in theh Middle East for example and how they sees the world, existence etc is goign to be completely different to how someone from Canada, such as myself, sees it all....

Religion is man's attempt to understand God. Since there are many levels of understanding along with the fact that everyone carries a different view, the results come out as drama. This seems like a bad thing to most but IT IS A GOOD THING!!!The drama brings our views together for learning. By giving everyone a different view, God guaranties us a larger view than any one person can have. To see the true picture we are all needed. There are a million lessons to learn around religion. None of them about God!! Deep down, you already know God!!

i think religions were made for good cause but we humans are so bad who has started using this for our advantage only.
earlier when there were no laws and rules. then religions were made where some rules and laws were given to follow by the followers.
and that was the only way for people to follow the civilized rules.
