i dont think that IQ goes down as we age - infact it should go up. i mean, even if we are in love, in a relationship or even if we grow old our life's experiences make us wiser. i would rather believe that your IQ will be lessened when you are with the wrong people, and wrong set of friends. im sure that you will go with the height, or depth of your friends' way of thinking. If you have intelligent friends, then you shall also become intelligent.

I honestly don't think that an individual's IQ is going to decrease with age. I know that I first had my IQ tested when I was eight years old and at that time I was at a high IQ, I had it tested again when I was in high school and it was higher than that. Now, it has been several years since my IQ has been tested, but I suspect that it would be higher now than it was then. Perhaps in the latest years of a person's life it could fall to some degree, but I don't think that it would be a major decline unless the person was suffering from a dementia related disorder.
