I always buy boneless steak and ask them to cube it. I make a coating of flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder and coat my steak in it and brown it in butter, I remove the steak from the pan and I add 1 quart of beef broth to the pan with 4 tablespoons of Worcheshire sauce and sliced onions and freshmushrooms and simmer it for a few minutes then take the left over coating and add a little water to it and make a thickening and stir in my broth. Then I return the steak to the pan and cover it and bake it in the oven at 325 for 2 hours. I make mashed potatoes to go with it. We have it with corn or green beans and fresh bread. My daughter who is VERY PICKY was here the other day when I made this and took all my left over gravy home and told me I had to teach her how to make it like that! This is the daughter that noway will she eat an onion!!!!!
Another thing I do is coat the steak as above with the flour mixture and brown it then remove it and add 2 cans of mushroom soup to the pan with 2 cans of milk and stir then I return the steak and bake it at 325 for 2 hours. I love mashed potatoes so I serve it the same way.

My steak comes out so tender that you can cut it with a fork. Sometimes, I cook noodles in beef broth and stir them into the gravy, then return them to the oven for about a half hour.
If you have any ? let me know. Good luck to you.

Well done. I have tried a medium rare steak, with the bloody juice dripping while I cut the meat and oh I felt like I'm a vampire and the thought of salmonella entering my mouth makes me want to puke.
Gravy is a must or anything to season my steak. I also love grilled corn on a cob, mashed potatoes, corn and carrots, herbed veggies to go with it.

I always prefer steak to be rare. I like it well seasoned and sauced. Bernaise is a typical sauce served with steak, but there are many others, including bordelaise, and even garlic butter. That, too, depends on what kind of steak is being served.
Basically, the typical steakhouse meal serves bernaise, and as for veggies, usually a potato dish and creamed spinach. I like it that way or even without the sauce. I prefer ribeye to most other steaks. I also like creamed corn with steak. Salad is another good accompaniment to steak, I believe.

If the meat is very good then I like medium rare. If not then well done. I also love mashed potatoes and gravy. I love asparagus with my steak too. yum.

Hello karlie,
I like my steak well done, served with green beans and a sauce made of butter, parsley and a lemon juice, or with fries and a pepper sauce.
However what is good for a steak is not good for all meats. Some need to be cooked rare or medium to enjoy them : in my opinion, it's a crime to serve a duck fillet well done.
Have a nice day at myLot.
