i like both of them, but taking into view their characteristics, i like a werewolf better than a vampire, on reason is that werewolf have many advantages when compared with vampires, just imagine becoming a blood sucking vampire every night and feeding on blood, thats a no-no in my book. turning into a werewolf only on the three nights of full moon and just to avoid any damage to others i can bind myself and live on.

but that rarely works out, either due to the strength, or the change in limb shape.
vampires always have the control of who they are. nothing takes over them and changes them.
in most mythos they can live perfectly well only taking some blood, not killing.
after all, think of the physics. there isn't room in one human body for another bodies entire supply of blood, so they would probably struggle to take enough to kill, in reality.
just a thought.

vampires.
more dignity in it.
first off, to be a vampire suggests that you are wanted. maybe even loved. someone chose to keep you with them.
that is preferable to being bitten by an animal in the throws of supernatural madness.
control.
vampires are what they are. all the time. they aren't subject to a lunar cycle imposing and enforcing change on them. as part of the human population subject to an unavoidable monthly event I'd rather be without, I can tell you it's not fun.
attractiveness. in all but the earliest vampire mythos, the vampire is considered quite attractive. not hairy or primitive looking. you don't hear about vampires having excess hair or a monobrow.
there's a lot of interesting psychology behind the mythos of both creatures.
but vampires have always been more my thing. werewolves are somewhat inelegant to me.
another side point is that I really dislike the sort of werewolves that become a hairy wolf man. I much prefer those that become a beautiful full wolf.
another point of interest actually. in many mythos, vampires can control wolves.
be that Dracula speaking of the sweet music the children of the night make, or Anita Blakes love interest, Jean Claude having Wolves as his animal to call. including those that spend some time human.

Your question sounds like whether you like the devil or the deep sea.Nobody wants either so, my answer is your third choice, neither. I am sure your question is more for fun than anything else.Since both are evil one has no other choice but to reject both. Moreover both are present in the realms of fantasy and i wish that they remain there. Brrrr...

Well, I don't believe in either of these but I would definitely choose werewolves over vampires!. I guess I remember some of the old werewolf movies like 'American Werewolf in London', that was my favourite and also 'American Werewolf in Paris'. I find the werewolf movies far more interesting than the vampire movies, there are definitely a lot of those out there. I love polluting my imagination with these movies especially on a Friday night! A great werewolf movie and a bag of crisps seems to do the trick for me! Andrew

I don't really like both. Vampires are just usually associated with bats and werewolves associated with wolves. They just make most people frightened in films. I don't like to scare myself out of nothing.

I'm with you Galena :) I love wolves and domestic dogs descended from wolves like malamutes and huskies... they are beautiful, clever and absolutely adorable.
Bats, well, they're just kinda like mice with wings :) I probably just cleared half the metaphorical room... or are they all just standing squealing on the metaphorical tables? LOL

Vampires or Werewolves? Are you talking about the Twilight Fever? In anyways, I dont find Edward (Vampire) handsome and appealing. I dont know if that is the typical Vampires. Whereas Jacob (Werewolves), his character is to tempting and appealing to me. In other words, if the typical Werewolves is like Jacob. Gosh I would prefer Werewolves. Because they are so tempting and appealing. Their personality and character is so interesting and yummy.

Taylor Lautner is a hottie I'll grant... but personality wise, he's a little teenage jerk (at least until he imprints with Renesmee in Breaking Dawn). Personality wise I love Edward... But Taylor and Rob should have been cast the other way around, though they would have had to tone down Taylor's very olive skin for him to play the part of a vampire. Taylor is the one who looks like Adonis, which is more in keeping with the Edward character in the books.

I have always had a thing for vampires. And, in the Twilight series books, I am Team Edward. But, in the movies, I am Team Taylor L. I just think he is better looking that Robert P.
Anyway, I know that wasn't your question so, I guess I would have to say...Vampires. I prefer Vampires over Werewolves.
Which do you prefer?
And, BTW...I have had a thing for Vampires long before the Twilight craze took off. I even started reading the books before the craze took off. In fact, I hadn't heard any talk about the books before I started reading them and it was a few months later that the books started taking off. I started reading the books because of the vampire aspect of it.

Neither really, but if I had to pick I'd say werewolves. I HATE vampires. They're too darn popular! And don't say it's all because of Twilight, because it really isn't. The vampire crazy has been around since long before Twilight. Just look at the number of movies and books that feature vampires verses the number of movies and books that feature other mythical creatures like unicorns and mermaids. There are too darn many.
I actually like Twilight though. A friend of mine tricked me into reading the book, and I was hooked. It's a mutant love of mine.

Well I would prefer vampires but werewolves are also cool, depends on the movies that you are referring to  I think Anne Rice however writes better than Stephenie and I am anti-Twilight =D

Werewolves all the way for me :D I prefer them because my image of a vampire is a pale, thin, blood-sucking old man whereas werewolfs remind me of a mix of a big, brutal bear and a wolf with some human intelligence added to create an even more deadly beast :D You really should check out an online strategy game called BiteFight, the idea is that basically it's a war of werewolves against vampires :) You get to choose your side and then it's time for some werewolf/vampire hunting :D
