It looks tasty but it looks more like an artery clogging mess! Ooeee... I can taste the grease/gerd just looking at the picture. Would you eat this monstrosity? Look at the nutritional stats... "The Original Recipe sandwich will set you back about 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. The not-as-bad-for-you Grilled Double Down totals 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium." http://consumerist.com/2010/04/kfcs-bacon-sandwich-on-fried-chicken-bread-kills-people-everywhere-on-april-12.html

I've heard about that, and it sounds like a heart attack on a non-bun. Not only would I not eat it because I'm vegeterian, but it just looks nasty! Even if I ate meat, that thing would not make my mouth water.

I don't eat bacon - ever. The last 3 times I ate bacon, I went home sick from work twice and wished I had gone home the 3rd time! I don't do it, I don't like feeling sick!

Too much grease? I know eating certain meats cooked certain ways don't agree with me either.

Could be, never been a greasy food eater, but my allergist also thought it might be all the nitrates and preservative junk they put in bacon

The grease and fat content do a number on ya especially if you have gall bladder problems. Wich I do despite having it removed things don't always agree with me. I guess preservatives could put a big hamper in things as well especially if you have all sorts of allergies & sensitivites.

Yes, I would try it. Would I have a large fries and a jug of gravy with it? No. Would I eat one every day? No. But ya, I would like to have one. I like KFC, I know that it's bad for me and that's why it's a rare treat. I like their boneless fillets, I love bacon and I love cheese so I'm pretty sure this would be something I would enjoy despite all the fat, salt and calories. Even though I would probably feel a little gross after I freely admit that I would love to try it, once.

if I tried one I'd have to split it! I don't think my gallbladder and slow digestion would appreciate such a greasy mess & I'd have to top it off with ice cream to keep from getting indigestion.

I don't think it's available here. If it was, I'd definitely try it. Meat as a bread substitute is just brilliant, and I'm young enough to not have to worry about dying from a single unhealthy meal. =P

just remember all those unhealthy meals when your young add up and catch up to you when you are older when your body slows down metabolisimwise and whatever you have a genetic disposition to like diabetes, HBP, heart problems ect...

I can't believe that they are putting that sandwich out on my birthday, it looks utterly disgusting. And there is no way that I am going to be trying it. I feel that if the fat and caloric properties of it aren't bad enough, then the sodium in it definitely should be. I won't be eating it at all even though there is a KFC that is within walking distance of my house, that isn't something that is meant for me.

huh..first i'd heard of it..i guess they don't sell them here. um..if i did,i'd probably split it with somebody.that sounds like constipation waiting to happen.

They haven't started selling them just yet. Well I dunno I don't think too much constipaton will happen with it provided it doesn't have enough cheese on it to bother you.

I would not eat that! I rarely eat at KFC, maybe twice a year when my cousin or my dad craves it and I take it over to them. I don't like the grilled chicken, if I'm going to indulge I'm going all the way! I just can't see eating something like that sandwich more than once a year, it's like paying someone to poison you.

To be honest i love kfc chicken. OURS CLOSED HERE & I NEVER WENT & GOT ANYTHING BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T LIKE IT BECAUSE I DO. I just don't eat out very often.I think they make the best slaw ever. I wouldn't try it now because i am dieting. Everything i have is out of wack including my brain.

I will agree they do make some awsome slaw. We just do better for our family spending our money at a buffet than buying 3 buckets of chicken + sides KWIM?

Good thing I don't live in America. That thing looks spectacular. The vegan version looks almost as good http://consumerist.com/2010/04/introducing-the-vegan-double-down.html.

I'd eat it! But once every month or so. I probably wouldn't have fries with it. But I eat healthily most of the time, with plenty or fruit, veg and oily fish. I don't think there is an issue if it's eaten very occasionally, not once a day/week. There is a slim to none chance that eating this burger once would kill you. Surely this was a considered factor in the design, creation and eventual release of the product. Moderation is key in any lifestyle, as is exercise and fresh air. I adore Ben and Jerry's, but I have it once a fortnight at a the very most. More like every couple of months I'll buy a tub. If I ate one everyday, then there would be a problem.
