I was listening to the bbc just this week and i heard that some scientists are trying to find apill that can erase memory. But come to think of it imagine your wife/husband died in your hands.Would you erase the memory off or leave it to cherish or perhaps to tell the next generation?

I think it's not a good as painful as bad memeories are but we would love to keep them. They say what does not kill you make you strong. We are probably what we are today because of the bad memories.Bad memories takes you out of your comfort zone and achieve more in life.

I think it's more for psychological treatments when people have bad memories in the past which continue to haunt their lives so erasing that portion of the memories would be a clinically effective method to allow the person to lead a normal life. However, it wouldn't be good for normal people like us to be losing the memories we have. Whether the memory is good or bad, it will have its role to play in our lives.

i think that would be really frustrating if i let my memory be erased. afterall, i am because of what i know, of the people i knew.. i would definitely be at loss if a part of "me" is removed from me - maybe even a bit of memory loss would be devastating - so i guess i wouldn't like that to happen.

Hi, My! As have many people who had abusive, horrible childhoods, I have pretty thoroughly erased those memories. Most people re-write their histories in a number of ways, even if they don't want to erase those memories entirely...

I would rather keep my memories whether good or bad. The bad memories are lessons we should learn and should try not to repeat. If I were to erase the bad memories I would be committing the same mistakes over again.

i think that is a bad idea. experiences are what makes us who we are. we learn from bad ones, we cherish the good ones. and about the very bad memories, the ones that traumatize us, those are what makes us human.. and because there are people who have experienced the same thing and survived it, they are the people who can understand what you're going through and help you get through it. that pill could possibly make us a weaker being
