Quit my job and Devote time to earn money at home?

Ok I'm an hour away from leaving home to go to my regular job and suddenly I'm thinking "what's the point?"
I travel all the way to the office 11 kilometers from home which takes up 45 minutes of my time just going and then come home again which'll take another 45 minutes. Plus the sun, the heat, the traffic.
Stress all stress!
And I'm not even in the office yet.
As soon as I'm in the door I have to primarily devote all my attention to 17 people who unknowingly add to the stress on my part.
And then there's the other people who i work with that also add stress.
So as you can see that's just a lot of stress and too much stress kills right?
And lab rats all over the world would agree with me if I don't feel like going to an unpleasant place because of the bad experience I get each and every time I go.
Alas, evolution dictates I overcome such repulsion and just go because it's the norm in society.
And the sad thing is I only earn enough. (I really can't say it here)
Now I'm already earning around 10 - 12 dollars just doing online stuff. which in a month's time translates to half of what I'm earning at work. But without the stress!!!And it usually just takes me around 5 hours a day of doing online stuff.
so tell me, should i seriously think about quitting my job and just plunge in heaDfirst into doing online business in the hopes of raising more than what I'm already earning online or should I stick my nose back to the daily grind?
sigh... decisions, decisions, decisions

I think you should consider asking yourself what it is that you want to become in the future. Like if you want to be successful in your career or maybe successful in all these online jobs that your doing right now.Ask yourself where you feel much more comfortable with, your job with lots of stress or online stuff that makes you feel good most of the time.It will help alot if you will consider happiness as a factor. In my case if im not happy with what im doing, whether in my relationships or work related its much better if you just find something else that will fill in the gap and make you feel good .Leave behind those stuff that makes you worry and gives you bad aura.Live life the way you want to,go for what makes you feel happy.

I agree with you, the most important thing is that what we want to be, and what we really care about, Feel happy in life is the most important thing in our life, and if we don't like our job, and hate the inconvenience the job bring us, maybe we can choose the way we want, and choose another life style.

Exactly, we should follow where our hearts leads us. Do what is it that makes you happy, yes hardships may come along but if you truly love what you do no matter how hard it will be it wont matter that much at all. Trust in God and in your abilities and everything will be pretty much easier for you and the field that you choose. ;) Thanks for your comment and sharing your thoughts

I wouldn't do it. How much do you earn per hour at your work? How much per day? Then, how much do you earn per day on-line? Unless you are earning a great deal then I would not imagine it would be worth it to quit your job. I think you'd be just trading one stress for another. Do you earn enough on-line to pay for your rent, utilities, food, computer etc. Another thing to consider is what if you lose power or your computer crashes? At least at your other job, if nothing else, you can count on a regular paycheck. I would not do it if I were you.

From you discussions, I surmise that you are a team leader in a contact center. If I am right, then that is a stressful day job. It also seems that your main concerns are the daily stress and the money that you make in both jobs. I think that you should consider where you want your career to go before making any decisions. It is tempting to make money online, but do you see yourself doing that in the long term? Yes it is nice to have control of your time and who hasn't wished going to work in their pajamas? In the end, it depends on your temperament. I am a social person, and I did some online work for while but I eventually went back to a desk job because I craved company and the regualarity of pay. My brother on the other hand enjoys his internet job because he only needs to work a few hours a day. He's been at it for more than a decade and so he now earns well.
Whatever decision you make, good luck!

I have been earning online for many years. I have built up my monthly income, but it has taken time. I would suggest building your online income to the amount you get paid offline. I personally spend 8-10 hours daily online..and some days even more...depending on what is going on in the online earning world.

Better take it easy. First thing first, are you really sure that your earnings on the online will be there for you monthly? What if the online business you having right now suddenly quits or went down? Where will you get money from? But since you have both, your sure you have at least one income generating from. Don't just relay on the online. It's not a permanent income, it only helps you to get something out of the net temporary. Stress? Well everyone also get's stress from time to time. You should at least try to relax. You should have at least a day-off or two in a week of work. Just be cool and stay focus.

I think you should think things through.. if your family is alright with it and you don't have to support lots of people should be alright. Or you can try to find another job which is not stressful. But if you are confident in your internet income, by all means stick to it. I wish you good luck.

10 to 20 dollars a day is already considered a good income. If I were you, I will focus on my online job. But if you feel that you are secured having a regular job, I suggest you to don't quit.

I hope you consider this very carefully before giving up your job. you never know when a site could go down or something happen that they stop paying you. If this were to happen could you make it? I'm earning over 30.00 in just one of my sites monthly plus all the other sites I do online but I would never leave my job! With jobs so hard to find right now , even with all the stress, you are lucky to still have one. And trust me I know about stress in the work place, I have it every day in my managment position. Just please think long and hard before doing something you may regret. Good luck to you with what ever you decide.

If you are unhappy go look for another job. If you think you are going to earn all of this money online you are sadly mistaken. Here are a few questions you really need to think about. If you can answer yes to every question if you quit your real job then go ahead.
Does your online job pay health insurance?
Do they offer 401 plan?
Life insurance?
Can it assure you will always make $10 or $12 all the time?
If there is any type of emergency will you be making enough money to save for a rainy day?
By the way there is nothing wrong with just getting by. I do it week to week like millions of people. But you know what at least I have a job. There are millions of people who through no fault of their own have been laid off and are losing their homes. How about being grateful and blessed you are working. These are scary times right now.
I mess around with Online stuff but I am smart enough to know I could never live off of it. Start applying and find another job and maybe this time you will be happy. The stress isn't coming from your co workers it is coming from you because you are walking in the door everyday not wanting to be there. I wonder how they feel being around you just by your comments I have a feeling you don't treat these people kindly.
Try being nice to them maybe things will change.

i think no cause depending on online work has many risk i think online work would be your stress reliever but leaving work for online stuff is a no no first if your job is an stable job it's good cause in online works you do you may not know when it will collapse you don't know maybe many things about it cause only you know they pay you 10-12 dollars.

i think that going headfirst online is a big risk can result to bad things. So i think you should find a part time job and do the online things so the stress is less and you still have time for online, but then again thats just me so think of this properly first.

Not a bad idea at all. I keep thinking about it myself. The most important thing you need to consider is can you survive on that online earning alone. And how sustainable is the venture? Do you think you can always be assured of that income with certainity in the future? If yes, why the hell not?
