Two years ago,if you would had asked me what do i like more betwen a dog and a cat,I would definitely picked the cat.But now that I have this frenchie ,I love him so much that i think Im exaggerating sometimes.I still love cats, they're my favorite pets, but Bufo, the dog that i have now is behind of being a pet;he's like part of my family.
When we bought him,we spent the last money and I dont regret it.I can't even imagen for something bad happening to him.
How much do you love your pet and would you get another one to "replace it"when your pet's not gonna be part of your life anymore?

My dog is my everything and I would not get another pet to replace her when her time on this earth is done. She will be three years old next month so she will be around for a good while yet.
Roxy, my Yorkie X is a definite member of the family and she knows it.
Roxy likes to be included in everything and she is, for the most part.
If for whatever reason she can not be, she gets a bit of an attitude which I can understand but when she isn't included it is for her best interest.
Obviously I love her to bits. We all do.
When I was a kid, I had cats. I like them too but as an adult, I always wanted my own dog.
Two years ago I found little Roxy and haven't ever looked back.
I didn't spend my last bit of money to purchase her from the previous owner as I felt that before I bought a dog, I needed to have X amount of money before hand as I knew that I would want a vet check up immediately and be able to have a bank account for the dog in case of any emergencies and other care such as routine vet visits, spay, food and doggie accessories such as harness and a warm coat for winter.
Since she is small, 6.5 pounds, she need extra care and attention, especially when outside and at the doggie parks but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Exercising her doesn't take as much as say a high energy Jack Russel but four times a day for outings does take up a good part of my days.
Again, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Roxy is a very Special Soul and is treated as such.
The smiles, joy and laughter she brings to those she encounters is priceless and makes each day a fulfilling one.
Even when her vet bills have amounted to hundreds in the past, excluding her spay, I don't regret it. She had an accident and needed emergency care. I was so fearful that I was about to loose my pup that I cried. I took her home afterward and nursed her back to health. She is fine now.
Her health and well being is worth every penny and then some.
Nothing is too good for my dog.
She maybe somewhat spoiled but I don't see it that way.
She knows where she sits in the hierarchy and that I am her leader.
I love her so much that I too find it almost unbelievable myself.
She is almost like a little person but I know she is a dog.
It is that when I read her and interact with her personality, we are on so much the same page that at times, it is almost hard to believe that she is a dog, if that makes sense.
I can go on and on about my little dog when talking with other dog people.
I try not to boast but some things do lend to bragging rights.
I have found that at times it sounds like I am exaggerating also but I am not.
Our dogs can surprise us with their quirky and their intelligent behavior at times. When trying to share the experience with others it can easily sound like exaggeration, especially when the person knows how much we adore our dog.
It is a dog owner thing.
People that do not own a dog and never have could easily find our ramblings about our own as a huge story rather than the expression of our amazement of our pet based on fact.
Each day with my dog is spent like there will be no tomorrow.
Enjoy the time spent with your dog, having fun. They love us so unconditionally.
I tell my dog everyday that I Love her very much and that she is so beautiful. Sometimes more than once in each day.
The sweetest soul that I have ever encountered and not just because she is my dog but because she truly is!

You definitely love your dog ALOT.If i could offer some kind of price for the longest comment ,YOU will be the one winning it.Don't take it in a offensive way, please.
I know what your talking about and I find myself having the same opinion.Lol...sometimes my boyfriend makes fun of me saying that we switched places, meaning that im the pet and he's my owner, because my dog successfully conquers my heart every time he wants something. It's amazing for me ,how he can understand and feel my sadness and his reaction to it.
P.S.:I've been really reading your whole post.THX for posting EvrWonder!

You are most Welcome alinka, thank you for your response.
I know too what you mean about hoe our dogs can pick up on what we are feeling. They have a sixth sense. Oh and no offense taken.
It's about the dog, right? I can go on and on about her, lol.
Having her as my pet dog has been the most rewarding in my life to date, how about you?
Yup, my dog too. She is number one and whose needs and even wants come before my own. Although I am single, she would still, no matter who my partner were or how much I was in love with them.
Many times, I have to put family members on the back burner if my dog tells me she wants to play, go outside for a walk or to go potty. I ave heard some cursing because of it but she looks to me to fulfill her needs etc and is the committment I made when I brought her home.
What I love most about my dog is that she is always up for going for a walk together, playing or just hanging out. What a sweetheart and yes, words can not describe the feelings that I have for my pup.
Thank you for te BR too btw. Cheers.
