we set records all over our state yesterday for extreme heat for this time of the year it almost reached 90 degrees in some places yesterday.
all I know is it was extremely uncomfortable to be outside for this time of the year which is very unusual.
I was very glad for when I was in a car yesterday with the air conditioning going.
how is the weather where you are?
are you getting the extreme heat too?

Hello neighbor! It hit 90F here too! It was like summer came. Now I am used to going straight into summer from winter but in April?

yeah that was a bit of a shock to the system when it was still snowing just a week or two ago.
It is supposed to calm down around here tomorrow and get back to somewhat normal temperatures around fifty or sixty so that would be a welcome change as far as I am concerned as long as we don't get any nasty weather along with it.

I am unsure where danville is but those high temps are certainly surprising.
We have had a bit of sunshine, mostly rain and wind this past week and into this new week. We have another storm coming. Could be up to 70K winds, again.
I love the summer season, I enjoy the sunshine and the heat therefrom although sometimes, if the air is dry, it can begin to feel as though it is hard to breath.
To have somewhere to go that is cooler, even if a car with magnificent air conditioning is a savior.
Lucky for you on both fronts, the sunny weather and the air conditioning.
Well hopefully we will get into warmer weather soon. Frankly, it has just been really miserable for the last few weeks. When the sun does peak through, it does lend to some warmth, that is a pleasing break from the cool winds, I'll tell ya.

It is very wise of you to choose to not be outside when the sun is beaming red hot. especially if you of a fair complexion. For myself personally, 60 degrees or below is too cold for me. I need 70 or above.
I think I'd rather be hot than cold if I had to choose.
I love the sunshine, I love to be outdoors, addicted to the beach and wear a ton of super strong sunscreen while I am at.
I hope that things cool down a bit for you and get warmer for us here in Canada. We are getting rained on right now and it is suppose to be windy tonight with more rain.
If I could I would change the weather for you.
Hanging a damp towel over a fan helps cool down a room. Hope that may help.

we are in the northeastern part of the state of Pennsylvania on the east coast of the United States of America.
yeah I can not handle the extreme heat too well and when it is like that out it is just nasty to me.
I can handle it when its nice out cool maybe in the low 60's after it gets past that it is too hot for me to enjoy.
I am someone who can't be outside too much cause I will burn easily so it is tough.

It's cooled down somewhat and been rainy the past two days.
Today, it's been vasilating between light rain and deluge of biblical proportion...

yes we are in Pennsylvania here and it was really hot and nasty outside yesterday and not too comfortable till the sun went down.
It makes for a nice night outside, but it is hard inside when you are trying to sleep and it is that warm.
It is supposed to cool down in a couple days so hopefully that is the case, because it is too soon for this kind of heat.

Living in the South East here and it is HOTT! I have been using the AC all week long here. Apparently they are predicting some bad hurricanes for us this season as well! Going to make sure our preps are up to par!

yeah I am glad that I don't live in those areas that get hit with those nasty storms as I would not know what to do as up here we get the rain and some flooding sometimes if the storms are really bad, but usually the winds don't last all the way up to here, because of the mountains.

I live in the South and we have had a small heat wave too this past week. Actually had to put the AC on in the house yesterday and it's still on. Usually I don't use it til May. Hopefully this isn't a sign of a scorching hot summer! We had a very very cold winter and hit many records so maybe we are due for more extreme weather. Even the humidity is way up for this time of year. Gotta love the AC tho and car ac's are so refreshing! Take care!

yeah it was still well above 80 today and we got a thunderstorm that went through tonight and knocked out some power including my parents house.
the car just gets so hot so fast when it is not running and that air conditioning in the car is such a relief and in my moms van there is more then 6 vents so it cools off very quickly.

well I would have gladly took some of that rain from you we had just a splash of rain in the morning then the extreme heat in the afternoon and evening.
I would gladly send some of our heat your way if I could, because we had more then we needed that is for sure.

Hello yimhiny,
Yes, it was in the high 80's here in Penna. Near Valley Forge Park and Philadelphia area. It feels really really good. Making all the flowers to pop really quickly and the trees and the bumble bees are scrambling to keep up with pollunating rituatal which we need to keep the flowering every year. No flys yet! Yea! Seem many cooks out over the weekend and smells made me hungry all day.
Thanks and have great day

Was 93 here yesterday and suppose to be 90 today. But then it is suppose to go down to 66 on Friday. I am glad the temps are going back down becuase I am not ready for the summer heat yet.
I think most of the east coast is getting these extreme highs this week. Hopefully when the cold front comes in on Thursday night/Friday morning the thunderstorms will not be too bad.

they are saying into the fifties for us after the cold front moves in and maybe some thunderstorms, but hopefully that will not be too bad.
It is still pretty hot today and hopefully this will be the last really hot day for a while and we can get back to normal with our weather.
