There are all the new up and coming movies that we all love. But what about the oldies? I love the old shirley temple movies to death. They were created around the 1930's but I still love them to death.
Do you have an old favorite? Or are all your favorite movies from this century.

I don't think I've watched that many "old" movies, other than the classic Disney ones (Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella, etc).
I remember watching Shirley Temple's Annie once or so, but it didn't make an impression on me. I haven't even watched "It's a Wonderful Life." I love a lot of the artistic aspects of those older black and white movies, but I don't think they'd truly hold my interest if I watched them now.

I have to say that most of my favourite movies are older, at least 20 years old or so. My all time fav movie "Stand By Me" is from 1986. And my other fav "The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane" is even older being from 1976. I also like the movies License to Drive, Christmas Story etc.
I actually prefer older movies. I think they are put togther better, as in plot, then the ones that they put out today. Alot of the movies today are just boring..I dont watch many new movies ever.

I really don't know what's your definition of "old" but if you're referring to the black and white ones, I think it's got to be the classic "CASABLANCA" -- a 1942 film.
But I do love "Braveheart" and the "Wedding Singer" which is old in my terms.

A big big list of movies of Alfred Hitchcock, the genius of the thriller movies, that even nowadays don't have such great thrillers like the Hitchcock's.
And my favorite trilogy is a bit old too, Back to the Future is amazing! Even without the technology of the movies of nowadays we don't an excitable movie like that! You just feel the action even without that retro effects.
I like too some comedies, like Sleeper of Woody Allen and The Gods Must be Crazy I, are movies that make me roll in the floor laughing, literally.
And all these are movies that I strongly recommend. ;)

One movie that totally blew my mind away of forest Gump! Even though it was produced not too long ago,i am pretty sure that it is going to be an all time classic!

In fact the favorite ones are old movies that linger in memory since quite a long time.

One fantastic classic that I saw for the first time just recently was "12 Angry Men". Really great plot and characters in it, in a much more classic kind of style. If you haven't seen that, I really recommend it.

I love a movie called The Fearless Vampire Killers, I saw it when I was small, I love it maybe it conjures up my childhood memories. I have the DVD and I watch this movie at home almost once a year at least.

I still love Gone With The Wind. They just don't make movies like this anymore. Older films seem to have more character , depth, and focus. Today's film makers could certainly take a lesson from the early film industry.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I have the old movie in my own computer . I usually enjoy the "old",which can be the classic ones . I think they have the classic charaters in that kind of movies. But for today's movies , I think they are absent a lot.

One of my all time favorites is Leave Her to Heaven with Jean Tierney. Another of my favorites is Harvey, with Jimmy Stewart. I love old movies and in many ways they were soooo much better than the movies of today. I'm not saying I don't have new movies that I like, but some of the classics are just great. I guess my all time favorite movie is Gone With the Wind. I also like another oldie, The Egg and I, it even has Maw and Paw Kettle in it.
