footprint in the sand...

I have that poem on my book-marker. When there is only one footprint that is God's, that means that in hard and troubling times, that it is God HIMSELF who carries us. So we are borne upon God's shoulders.

Thanks for this discussion... I love that poem and it has helped me through many long and dark times. Another is one that says "I asked for all things taht I may enjoy life, I was given life that I may enjoy all things." Not bad....

I love that poem. I found a framed picture with that poem added to it for my brother when he had been sick with bone cancer.

you only see god's footprints, because that is when he is carrying you through your struggles...Great poem

That is one of my favorite poems. My youngest daughter gave it to me for Christmas one year and I cried.....it definately has a wonderful message!

That was a beautiful poem. During those times when only one set of footprint was seen in the sand those were the times when we were at our lowest. Those were the times when we were struggling from trials and problems of any kinds. And those were the times when God was carrying us, me and you. He was there when we needed Him the most. And He will be with us always!
