What a waste. That is the only words I can said after watching Manchester United versus Bayern Munich Champion League second leg quarter-final match. Manchester United start brilliantly and score two quick goals at early stage. Gibson started the feast by scoring in the third minutes then followed by Nani four minutes later. The spirit was high and the stadium was fulled by noises from Manchester United. Nani second goals on the 41 minutes make it sweeter for Manchester United. But, the nightmare started when Olic score the crucial goals two minutes from half time. The match come balance again and the Germany side only need one goal to qualify for the Champion League semi final on the away goal rules. The sent off of Rafael make it harder for Manchester United and easier for Bayern Munich. Manchester United has to replace Wayne Rooney with O'Shea to keep the defense tight and protect their lead. But, every thing was finished when Robben score the decisive goal that sent Bayern Munich to the semis. For the first time in eight years, England does not has any representative in the semi final of the Champion League. What do you think about this game? Any particular incident that you might like to talk? I hope to hear your opinion on this game, my friends......

I think Sir Alex would really be furious at the display of the red devils yesterday. 40 minutes into the game, at 3-0, the game was done and dusted with. Then, slightly lazy defending led to Olic's goal. Then real naivity from Rafael meant that he gave a man advantage to Bayern and they made it count. The goal by Robben was an absolute peach and worth for winning such a big tie. Wow! we have seen such wonderful goals this round what with Messi firing and now Robben. In fact even Nani's two goals were very very good. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram, It is funny though. Alex Farguson did not blame his players or his tactic that cause them the semi final spot yesterday. Instead he blame it on Bayern Munich players attitude. He claim that Bayern Munich players surrounded the referee when Rafael tug on Franck Ribery, and put more pressure to the referee. I think Manchester United players would do the same if it is happen to them. We can see it week in week out at English Premier League. Lucky for him that UEFA would not take any action for that "typical Germans" jibe. The first goal from Nani is outstanding. He use his inside foot to tab in Valencia cross. Not many goalkeeper would notice that because Nani was not facing the goal posts. But Robben first timer from Franck Ribery corner kick was stunning goal.

Hi buddy, a great game, for Mna United Fugesen, but more for Bayern, Robbern. Start from Man United and Fugesen. Fugesen do a lot for the game, such as quick treatment Rooney and spreading smoke that Rooney can not be in the starting line, good using the two wing forwards, Valencia and Nani, which both performed very well. In the first half, Man United done really great. Turn to Bayern. It perfectedly expressed the perseverence of German. Additionally, i was amazed by the goal shotted by Robbern. It is beautiful. After the game, i recalled the great match in 1999.In that match, Man United win the game in the last two minitus and acquired three cups, a great achievement. And since then, Man United created a new king times.

Hi buddy, It was a great game for Manchester United but I believe it is only for the first half and and the game of football was not won in the first half. It was disastrous game for Manchester United. I can not remember when was the last time Manchester United being the losing team after have a three goal lead. What make Manchester United and Bayern Munich different from yesterday game was believe. Bayern Munich believe they could make it to the semi final after Olic manage to score their first goal two minutes from half time. The believe become stronger after Rafael was sent off. And they keep the pressure and the reward was when Robben score a stunning goals in 71 minutes. It is really a great game for the non-Manchester United fans.

A great goal by Robben! The champions league this year is without any english teams.Thats a sign that other leagues are getting better. For me,Bayern deserves to win the tie.Manu did a good job to score 2 eary goals and had a commanding lead.Bayern showed some experienced by not panicking and marshalled through with away goals.A great champions league match.

Hi razim, This is the first time since 2003/04 season that there is no English Premier League team qualify for the semi final in Champion League. And the last three season, they have three teams there. I am not sure if this is the start for English teams downfall since it is too early to say so, but other leagues definitely show some improvement especially France and Germany leagues. Bayern Munich definitely deserve what they got. They have guts, spirit and determination when they were three nil down and they keep the pressure on Manchester United. And the reward is semi final slot in the Champion League competition.
