Do you have a particular group of friends that you've been together for so long?

I just wanted to know how many of us have this group of friends that they've been together for so long? I have been friends with my schoolmates since highscool. So we started hanging out as a group I think in our fourth year in highschool and since then we've been together. We call ourselves Borax and we've been together for like 9 years already. Until today we still hang out and still talk about the same stuff. Funny how we never grew tired of the same stuff over the years. We would always talk about how things were most especially the funny and stupid things we did back those days. I was wondering if any of you had the same thing?

I am friends with my old friends from school. They dont stay in my city but still when they come i go out with them or meet up. My new friends from college are not close as my school friends. After all old is gold....

I can understand what Abir has tried to say and i know he seriously means that.But it is sometimes necessary to forget your past to a certain extent and live a happy present.If we stick to our so called 'old friends' we stop enjoying our present and future with our new friends.When these new friends consider us to be close to them then why should'nt we make room for them too in our friend circle.

hi. we are 4 people that we are very close.we know each other from the first day of the school. if i tell you that now we all are 42 years old you can calculate how many years we are friends. we know so well each other that we communicate with the eyes. sometimes it doesn need to talk just to see each other and we understand. of course all these years we have knew a lot of other people but cant feel with them the same as we feel the four of us. although all we have get married we manage to keep this big friendship.

ty... yes this happen many times. for example once i was at work.it was a vey nice day and i had good time. suddenly i felt as to cry bec i was sure that something bad was happening to one of my frineds.the girl thatwas sitting to the next desk office asked me what happened to me and became so sad. i told her i dont know but im sure that something bad happened to my friend. she asked how did i know it if somebody called me. i said no. i just felt so.she told me to be calm and nothing bad would had happened. but as the time was passing i became worst. then i called my friend and he didnt answer. i decided to call his parents. and guess! some hour before an accidend with moto had happen and my friend was in the hospital. he stayed a lot about two months in the hospital but fortunatelly he became well.this happen also to our group many many times. and as i know happens between many people who hace a special relationship

wow... that's soo long I wish we could stay that long together :) Congratulations to you I think there are only few friendships that last that long. It's the same thing for me and my bestfriend. I don't know why but there would be times when we're not together and I would feel that she needed me. True enough she needs me at that time. Intuition I guess...

yeah i do have, but i'm not so closed with them, but i consider them as my old friends and sometimes i called them trusted friend., I really choose friend of my own i don't want friend who take advantages of me. funny thing are just there but true friends is hard to find.

Hi Yndy, your topic made me missed my old friends. I used to have a group of friends during my high school days and we stayed as a group for several years more. But we began to lose constant connection when we all got married, some moved to the provinces while others migrated to other countries. Though we still get to send each other emails once in a while. :(

i got 4 group of friends..
1st - grade school friends we've been friends for 13 years now.. we try to see each other once a month. EMMA AND ALLIANA.
2nd - high school friends 10 years of friendship.. still getting stronger. marion and mila
3rd - college 8 years zorai
4th - officemates 4 years dhenz, gela and carlo (my hubby)
i dont have much friend but im proud to say I GOT THE BEST !! I LOVE YOU ALL

I dont have a particular group of friends whom I still hang out with until now. But I have a friend whom I know since I was high school and until now, we still see each other and hang out sometimes. We know all the changes in each other's life and she is the one whom I could turn to when I have problems. I am still thankful that she is my friend until now and our friendship remains strong despite of separate ways that we had.

I have a group of friends currently. We don't have a name though. We just hang out whenever and do stupid stuff. We don't have any trademark or something. We just wanna have fun everytime.

As far as I am concerned, I think I usually have a group of friends not only online or in the reality. I want to stay with my friends, for I will feel a lot of comfortable in my mind. I like that feeling with my friends.

I guess everybody has this need of belongingness... Well it may not be everybody but most of us. I also have a group of friends wherever I go like at work or even if I am attending a conference. It's just that out of all the group of friends that I think Borax is the best :D

yes I do have a group of friends that I hang out with in college. We were never a group in high school we have separate groups then. in college, we hang out a lot and until now we always keep in touch.

congratulations for having such kind of friendship. i do also have friends for so long but we do have like yours have the chance to talk about certain stuffs coz wer not belong to the same place anymore but still if have the chance we communicated thru texting or emails. friendship doesnt really mean of being together always but thru spirit we still dont forget each other and still were friends. as long as u still keep in touch to each other still the friendship is there. we just thank GOD for our friends coz they are really a blessing. thanks to you... :) 2 of our friends are also far from us already. good thing there's email, messenger and texting, we can still chat whenever they're free :) I believe you when you say that it isn't always being together, I have a bestfriend and since she's still in school and I'm working our schedules just won't meet yet we remain bestfriends :) goodluck to you and your friends!

i do have a group of friends that i've known since high school. we took the same course and attended the same school in college as well. our group grew and we were each others companion in college. we never grew tired of being together everyday, laughing even in the smallest matter. i guess to last this long you must share the same interest. though we have different personalities we were able to adjust. we already graduated in college and i miss there company. we don't meet much like before because of our busy schedules but we keep our communication open.

yeah i believe so too about having the same interest. same here we never really get to meet much since we all started working but we still meet every once in a while plan a trip once a year and even celebrate our friendship anniversay which we fondly called our birthday. ;)

Its good to hear you have you many friends, and still intact.
But I believe out of the many friends you have, you have the closest to your heart where you could confide to. Because there are also stuffs that you couldn't afford to tell the whole group.
In my case though,i don't see often my highschool friends but we still communicate.
I have a group of friends since college, we are 6 and the 3 went abroad to work. That left me and 2 of my closest friends. Even though they are apart, we still got to talk to each other.

I have a group of friends also in college days and until now we do hanging out in some occasion or we will be having for an outing just to bond with each other. Yah, we are still communication just to stick with the group and i am so lucky and happy that i am one of them because they are jolly to be with and they really help us you in good times and bad times. Really, you can rely on them i love my group of friends. See you soon guys.
