AVIRA... one and only... the trusted antivirus in my dictionary right now... the others antivirus seems so useless right now.. btw this this for the free one.. if u can afford the paid one then its another story... the best thing about avira is that it have gaming mode. so i dont have any annoying popup when playing games.. its detection towards removable drives is 2 thumb up... whenever a virus in that particular disk. avira can detect can GIVE me choice on how to do about it; move to chest, delete it or keep it at current folder..

I'm surprised how little AVG seems to be liked here. I've been using it for a few years and it's never did me any wrong and my array of computers have been fine. Maybe because browsing habits are another key thing that comes into play when talking about viruses etc etc. As everyone has stated over and over again on here, make sure to keep the darn thing updated. If not, it's useless and you may as well take the antivirus right off your computer. Maybe you should visit a few sites that do reviews of products and look at ones that review antivirus. That will give you a better idea instead of asking us which to pick because everyone's going to have a different opinion. Good luck in your search!

I like Avast. It has regular updates and it has never given me any issues. Doesn't bog down my system, it is a solid solution.

My favorite free antivirus is Avira. Its very light in your system and very good in detecting virus that usually not detected by other antivirus even the paid one. AVG also good but I find it heavy on my system. What antivirus do you use is paid or free? I suggest Avira you will not sorry.

I choose Avira because it's lightweight and very effective. I do not have viruses affecting my laptop now because I dont use windows anymore. Try using ubuntu or mac or any linux distros. They don't get affected by viruses at all.

there aren't any free antiviruses can provide security for you pc if not updated regularly.a antivirus no matter free one or charged without updating is not guaranteed at all. so what you need to do is connecting you computer to the internet and the antivirus will download updates from the net.that's it. by the way ,i prefer avast as a free antivirus software.

There are three free antivirus for home sue. This are AVG, AVAST and AVIRA. I've been using Avira and it caught all virus in my usb and in internet. You have to update it regularly. Everyday, if possible.
