Why America is failing

The real problem with America is the lack of religion in the country. The small hope I see comes from Louisiana, where people seem interested in improving the country by incorporating Christianity into the public school system. If people just had more faith, God would take care of our problems and we wouldn't be having all these problems.

Hmm...I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Mind you, I do agree that America has some MAJOR problems but I do not agree that it is because of a lack of Christian religion. There are many people in the U.S. who are Christian and who aren't - but still follow the same basic principals of being kind to people and the earth.
Trying to force the children to be Christians - when they family may not be is against what America is about. We are to have freedom of speech and religion here. If Christianity is forced into the schools, we have all lost that freedom. Christians might not care - because that is the religion of their choice...but what if it was reversed and they government was trying to force Muslim teachings in the American schools. Muslims would be fine with it - but would that be fair to the Christians? Of course not.
God wouldn't suddenly solve our countries problems if we were all suddenly Christian. After all, I know of many good hearted Christians who suffer in life. There will always be problems and crisis. Religion won't solve it - in fact, there have been many cases where religion caused problems.
Thanks or the discussion - have a nice day :)
