This topic is mostly targeted to the newcomers at the online earning community/world. Guys and gals, I know that you heard that you can be a gazillionare. But I am gonna speak the truth. You can not! No one really cares for getting you some money if they do not get the double or triple of what you are going to make. No one really is going to tell you his/her secrets, if they do not want to "use" you as an affiliate (places like mylot are excluded, because we are here to help and chat) No PTC will ever make you $500 per month if you do not spend at least 2 years of making a perfectly active referral circle which is going to cost you lots. Yeap that's right. To earn from a PTC you have to earn. To invest at a PTC is the most risky thing you'll ever do at your entire life..I mean it! Making money through blogging needs patience, quality content and SEO. These three factors will drive you some traffic at the beggining. Do not expect a thousand of visitors by the first month. Not even the second or third. You have to fight for it. Be social. Be a person that everyone trusts. Then, they will trust your blog too. And then MAYBE you'll get traffic. And then MAYBE you'll earn from blogging. There are people in here that had to spend more than 5 years in order to achieve something WORTHY. They did mistakes from which they learned. Ask them. They are here to give you advices in order to do not do the same mistakes. The most profitable way at Internet is to be an affiliate marketer. That means that someone will give you a 10% (for example) commission on the products you sell. Be aware that this requires A LOT of effort. You'll have to be social and trustworthy. You'll have to have a big network of customers that will to buy via you. You'll have to find tricks (example: discounting some products) in order to bring more customers. All that advices are for people that actually try to put $200-$300 (or maybe more) aside. For the ones that want to do a ten to fifty bucks things are a bit more easy. But just a BIT! NEVER FORGET: Online earning means PATIENCE, means KNOWLEDGE, means BEING SOCIAL, means BEING A RESEARCHER, means BEING AN EVALUATOR. Never give up. ALWAYS try and you WILL see things to happen. Thank you a lot. I hope I helped. Writer: Valkerion Mentor: workingmom50 (she IS the guru)

Hi, All very good points you've made here - about the only thing I could possibly dispute is the affiliate marketer points. By combining my blogging (and websites) with different affiliates I don't need a big network of customers or to do anything special (any tricks etc) to get them to buy from my pages etc. Yes sometimes I get it wrong and pick the wrong product etc - but as you mentioned if you take the time to build good content you'll get the visitors who in turn will become customers. The biggest key to earning online (no matter what method you use) is as you said - Patience. Much like earning offline - you can't expect to set up a store one day and be rich the next - it just doesn't work that way. Instead take the time to do it right the first time - if you're going to go the blogging/website affiliate marketing route etc - pick a topic you enjoy and have some knowledge of - take the time to find what keywords etc others use when searching on that topic and build those words into your content/titles and links etc - find the right related affiliate product and review it or link to it etc. Then promote your site in the right way - article marketing, forums etc. And when you first start make sure you enjoy it - there's no point in doing it if you hate it - you'll never have the time and patience for it - that's why I always suggest starting with a topic you enjoy - it makes it a whole lot easier :-)

You're absolutely right. Doing something you like will make you enjoy it thus write more content. Also you have to be an expert at your niche. I 100% believe that. Other than that, well affiliate marketing requires blogging if you want to be a successful affiliate marketer. I though it was obvious but I'm really thankful that you brought it up! That's what I mean after all. One guy helps the other and at the end we all do gain experience. Thanks a lot for your reply :)

Hey, Actually you don't even need to your own web site or blog to earn decent money via affiliate marketing. For some, who don't want the hassle, don't know how etc. to setup or create a site/blog, There's plenty of ways to promote affiliate products using other methods: Using articles (and free article directories) is one way and while I don't use them (and doubt I ever will) in some instances traffic exchanges etc can be a good way to sell affiliate products - again it all comes to to each individual taking the time to decide what works best for them.

This is all true and I think that is why so many people fail because the number one reason is time. They just don't take the time to make it all happen for themselves. I guess there are too many looking for a quick fix into things. However there are also a few that are making it happen for themselves. I guess it does take some patience as well. Effort is a big contributor too, very much indeed and without the willingness to get up and do it, it may become lost. I think also it does depend sometimes some people can be really unlucky too because they do not have the know how.

I always enjoy informative discussions. These points can never be stated to many times. I have the following posted at the top of my blog... Do Your Research - Be Dedicated - Stay Focused - Have Discipline I honestly believe that anyone can earn a nice online income if they follow these basic principles. It is also important to remember that you WILL have setbacks...if a program closes don't focus on that...focus on the ones that are working and the new ones coming around the corner Decide what you want to do and research it....set a monthly earning goal....then take steps EVERYDAY to reach that goal. Happy Earnings

Good job Valkerion - the only thing I regret is that I didn't have this kind of info when I started, so I've learned it on my own. Good job again and for the newbies - most of all try to learn to be patient: if you are patient, you learn and gain knowledge, you can be a researcher and become an evaluator (of your own work and of the others), you'll get social and gain a lot of friends who also can help you - so as you can see PATIENCE is the most important thing. And yes, workingmom50 is one of the BEST(there are too many people online to call her the best as I would - but certainly she's part of the best).

You started a very interesting discussion meant for people who want to earn money online. Yes, earning online is not a joke. When I first started writing online I felt so disappointed and almost gave up but patience made the better of me and I wrote like crazy. Yes, I wrote ten and even more articles a day when I started writing online. It was only when my articles accumulated to a thousand that I saw real money coming in. Money comes from a well-sweated out work online. Money is not that easy as others are trying to tell other people. Patience and perseverance are the tools to making real money online. It is only when you work too hard that money will come to you. If you have done you work well plus you have the initiative to find legitimate sites that really pay you, then you can earn money online. Online earning opportunities are countless but you need patience. Patience, patience, patience and finally you will earn real money online. I have three blogs now plus seven writing sites that I write for and I have a regular monthly pay that help me pay bills. It is not that much but it is still money and who knows it will grow more and that's fine. Good luck and happy mylotting to all.
