what was your favorite game when you were a child?

when i was a child,me and my siblings with the other child neighbors back then,i remembered we loved to play patintero,which i'm really hard to pass.the other one is tumbang preso where you throw slippers on the can which is based on the opponent's side.we really loved it we played almost everyday in the afternoon.we collect ones with broken sash of slippers for us to have more ones to throw.
we also played the bioman or power rangers with 5 members colors red,green,blue,yellow and pink.i played the yellow one and my sister is pink the 3 others were the 3 boys who were our neighbors.most of the time we run and run as if we're holding a sword or just kicking in the air as if we're fighting the monsters.
it's really funny sometimes to think of the past,ur childhood days.when u're so innocent you didn't care how much ugly you look combined with ur sweaty parts all over your body.

Hi annavi! Oh how I love those days when we used to play street games. We also played patintero, tumbang preso, chinese garter,and a lot more. I always got scolded by my mom when I went home late during lunch time and after school. I really enjoyed playing games with my friends.

wow! I remember chinese garter, hehehe, that's one of my favorite when I was a still a child,we used to play it after school hours so basically were still wearing our school uniform,waaaa,so embarassing coz were wearing skirts at that time not minding our panties showed off. I still have a lot of favorite games though, but when I heard of chinese garter I can't resist thinking of the past. It feels good to reminisce the past.

chinese garter is really fun,don't worry about that,moonshadow,you were young back then and as a child it doesn't matter what you look like and how you move like,right?
as a child,what matters to you is your having fun inspite of everything around you!
and yeah,it feels good to reminisce the past! specially times like this where you don't care anything just as long as you're having fun!

First of all, pardon me for using tagalog terms. It just feels so fake when you use the englih ones.
I loved playing "taguan" (hide and seek) especially when you sing the song. It's especially fun to play it at night, and Marco Polo too!
We also played "Sardinas" (sardines). It's like "taguan but vice versa, the "taya" (it) will hide and the other players has to find him, once they do, they stay with the "taya". last person to find the "taya" is the next "taya".
There's this "taguang kumot" where you play in the bedroom with a huge "kumot" (blanket) covering the players. The "taya" should touch a person underneath the blanket and guess who that person is.
I also enjoyed tumbang preso, patintero, matayataya (tag), agawan base, jackstones and chinese jackstones.
I used to play a lot when I was a kid. rare was there a time when we'd prefer to play with our Family computer or Sega.

hide and seek is really fun to play,singing while you're seeking to your playmate is really cool!what's marco polo?

we just don't like stuffs like that when we're young.
we've been addicted to plants vs.zombies
my sister usually joked on me do i also see zombies in my dreams?because i'm super addicted to it that time!
but since i joined mylot,i stopped playing those!

I remembered , as a little boy , i usually play lots of street games and some times my toys with other kids. Well the games i played before as i remember were patintero, tumbang preso, touch ball, mini soccer, mataya-taya, jolens, hide n seek, langit lupa, ice water, MOro-moro sometimes "agawan-base" and others. Well my favorite game was langit lupa. Well it was really fun those childhood days.

when i was child i used to play lot of things..i had many favourite games like basketbal, online games, pc games, carram, football. Among all of these my favourite was basketball.. i played basketball a lot when i was small..

i also played video games back then but i never put much of my time playing there.
what is carram?i'm not familiar of that game.
i haven't tried playing football but looks fun though sometimes being hit by the ball is i can't really handle!
i've tried of playing softball (it's like baseball) where you hit the ball with a bat and player runs to the bases til he gets to the homebase.really exciting game!
that was one of my P.E. subjects in college.and i may say it was my favorite sport back then.sadly,that's only taken one sem (i guess,three months).
i really want to play it once more,but i think that was impossible now,i can't find something like that here in our village.
i miss those playing softballs!

i also had played basketball once,it was my P.E. (physical education) subject in college.i am not really good in there,but i found it really interesting,sadly my classmates back then didn't enjoyed much of basketball.i wonder why?
well,i think it's because we're all girls and they find it not interesting or they we're just to shy to shoot and run with other players!hoping to play that someday soon again!i also loved computer games,but not too much i'm kinda addict to plants vs.zombies but when i joined here,i didn't play anymore of it!i'd rather earn here than wasting my time playing right?

I grew up in the province i know many Pinoy games mostly outdoor games, together with my friends we love hide and seek during full moon.

well,unfortunately children of the video-game age today have forgotten these very physical and outdoor fun games that most of us loved.
i guess now that flip flops are back like havaiianas at least there are few children who does play tumbang preso and the like again nowadays.

Hahaha! bring back really good childhood memories, some of which I really forgot, thanks for this topic for making me think about my childhood. Back to the topic, when I was a child, I always loved playing 'hide n seek' and 'touching runner'. I remember how my mom is always mad at me and my brother every time it's laundry day.

well,i guess it's really part of being a child,when you got scolded by your parents.they just don't want good things for their children.childhood days were really fun.playing games with others feels really exciting and most children usually have more energy playing whatever they want to play.i love hide and seek to.and yes,it's really hard to was clothes when it gets too dirty.
