So what's your preferred web-programming back-end? PHP or ASP? I know a little about both and have heard that, all things being equal, ASP is a faster language with the drawback that it is Microsoft and therefore comes at a significant cost. If you've coded with both then let me know which one you prefer coding in and why. If you've only coded in one-language then why haven't you tried the other?

Hey Sachi
I prefer PHP to ASP cos
1. ASP is Microsoft and personally I dislike that organization.
2. Hosting ASP websites is costlier than PHP
3. PHP is free and customizable as per my requirements - Open-source
4. PHP can run on any platform - Windows, UNIX, Solaris, MAC. ASP runs only on Windows.
As I am a supporter of Open-source and need my client side scripts to be cross platform, PHP is what comes best.

I think today is a very very demand of PHP developers.. ASP is also best..for web designing.. but i think PHP is best than ASP.. because PHP is a serve site scripting and also execute on server.. and it's security are also good.. and it is east than ASP.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..
