how will you rate the new movie Clash of the Titans? i went to see it in the theater a couple of days ago. but i was disappointed to find out that it was in 2D, not in 3D. i've never seen a movie in 3D so i was pretty excited.
that was about the dimension stuff. regarding the movie, i'd say i like it. i haven't seen the original 1981 movie so i don't know how different is this remake from the original. i've become a huge fan of sam worthington, the lead character, these days. he's starred in big-budget and high profile movies like Terminator: Salvation and Avatar before, and this one too, of course. i like the movie overall and loved watching it, would have been better had it been in 3D, though.
but as far as i've read about the movie in wikipedia, it seems the movie got generally negative reviews and low ratings. i guess the original movie was a huge success. but i haven't seen it and i like the remake.
so mylotters, what do you have to say about the remake, how different is it from the original(if you've seen the original), how much do you like it or dislike it, what are your reviews and ratings?

I saw it last week, also on 2D. The movie is initially intended to be on 2D format, the 3D format was last minute decision from the studio after seeing the success of Avatar. I disappointed by the movie, it's not fun enough for a heavily promoted blockbuster movie. I don't mind if the story is a no-brainer, I just feel there's not enough conflict from the Gods and I feel Sam Worthington is not as charismatic as his two last movies, Avatar and Terminator. I give a C for this movie

it was okay.
I didn't think it was as good as I hoped. it looked pretty, but I don't think that it was properly engaging.
and I really enjoy my greek mythology.
we saw it in 3D, and in all honesty I don't think that added much to the experience.
there are some films where I find 3D really adds to it, like Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. but I didn't find that it added anything to it with Up, despite the bits in the sky. and I didn't think it added anything to this.
