It has been a cliche that when people get drunk, they change some of their remarkable characteristics which are exactly opposite when they are sober. I am NOT actually a chatty type of person. i usually don't initiate the talk when I'm in a group. I'm a person with few words. But, when I get drunk, I become so bubbly and speak spontaneously. I even get friendlier and more smiling as ever.LOL. I even pondered on these characteristics when I'm drunk. If I were bubbly and friendly when I'm sober, my life would have been different.
So, mylotters, which characteristics when you're drunk would you wish you had when you are sober? Are you getting my point?LOL.I hope you get it. Sorry if it's kinda vague.

I'm much more social when I've been drinking. I talk more and laugh more. In a way, I wish I had these characteristics when I was sober. Sober, being social at times, especially around new people, can make me a little anxious. Sober, I tend not to laugh as much and I wish I did find more humor in things.

We share the same sentiment hofferp. Why am I so introverted to society? Is this a curse?LOL. I feel so mute when I'm in a group. For almost 15 years of study, I haven't changed my ugly personality. I still have a lot of inhibitions.I'm always caught up with fear of rejection by society because I feel so ugly. Sorry if I jump from one topic to another.LOL.

I agree hofferp, being a good listener means when you do have something to say you know more about the people and/or thing you're talking about all BECAUSE you know how to listen first.
I'm with you, I get wrapped up in my world and it can be hard to relax, but a few here or there and you can let your hair down alittle. I am relaxed more and find that I enjoy myself because can let go of my day.

Drinking is always a good way to loosen up though. Its a good way to kind of lubricate the cogs of social interaction. I've had some of the best heart to hearts of my life when drunk,.

I think a lot of people experience this. I know after a few I relax more. I'm not wall wound up about what I have to do, I'm relaxed and enjoying myself with people I like. I laugh more and joke around more.

Many repressed feelings and emotions come out when a person is drunk. Unfortunately, people around you get to know that you are drunk by noticing your different behavior.
A lot of people get aggressive when drunk, this is due to internal frustration.
Personally, I prefer never to get drunk.
